It was removed sometime last year after I and others complained about such a structure in a grade 1 listed park.
But reappeared earlier this year. I don’t recall seeing any notice posted for it. But I don’t know the degree of its legality.
Maybe the ward councillors know more?
This illegally built structure in Victoria Park has been there for two years and the council are well aware of it.
I am sure that the enforcement officer will act soon. She is very sweet: [email protected].

As a Cambridge University alumni I’m incandescent about the failure of the university to support Jason - especially given everything he highlighted - including his mental health - Chris Smith and Deborah Prentice - WTF @Cambridge_Uni - shame on you both, and the institution…
This morning and yesterday morning was the same. A young woman with a push chair had to negotiate the same pavement problem
So much for the council saying it’s pedestrian firs.
This needs to be sorted.
Replying to @BATHNESHighways
@BATHNESHighways there is no ability for pedestrians to cross when approaching the road and pavement works on the upper Bristol road
Very dangerous dodging traffic

#OnThisDay 33 years ago the Waterloo & City Line's 1940 stock (Class 487) ran for the last time. The curious trains replaced the original 1898 fleet and were superseded by Class 482 (1992 Stock). Great footage from the final day by Fred Ivey, full video: buff.ly/RHcCyzF

There needs to be transparency of the royal family finances and accountability of their actions. It’s about time elected politicians represented the people and the tax payers rather than doff their caps to royalty.
“The mood has changed, and it has darkened.”
Charlie Falconer tells @bbcnickrobinson the allegations against Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have led politicians to question their own relationship with the monarchy. Andrew has previously denied any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein.
I hope our PM has a chance to meet with opposition leaders in Beijing……
Oh I forgot… there aren’t any !

@WestofEnglandCA as resident who lives on the Newbridge P&R route but it doesn’t stop to pick up, will residents get free bus travel over this period too?

Bristol airport expansion is underpinned by a business case totally reliant on car parking revenue, of which dropping off is part of. A rail link is discussed at every expansion but promised later with an inadequate bus service provided. Blatant profiteering.
Airport drop-off fees league table:.
Yesterday: topped by many airports at £7.
Today: Bristol makes audacious break for the summit with a £8.50 fee.
Tomorrow: Gatwick soars to the top, up from £7 to £10.
And from nowhere London City pops in at 3rd with £8.

And for as long as the building has been closed, i and others have been denied access to the Roman mosaic in the basement. During the planning process I was assured that public access to the mosaic would be maintained. But this has not been the case.

If she is walking in that direction she’s not taking the quickest route to the railway station.
Congested and busy yes, but as locals we all know the routes to take in the city centre to avoid the crowds. I think the post is a bit made up and exaggerated.
@bathnes @BATHNESHighways one short walk through Saw Close and these businesses are blocking the pavement with their A-boards. Pedestrians are needing to walk in the road and dodge traffic needs some ward action @bathnesld
The laws in HK now mean that if you speak out against the CCP you can get arrested. So being turned back at the border may be the better option.
This is an outrage. @DavidLammy should summon the Chinese Ambassador to explain why Wera Hobhouse was denied entry to Hong Kong for a family visit.

An E-bike burst into flames on the Northern end of the Met line today, had this happened in a tunnel it could have been catastrophic.
E-scooters and e-unicycles are banned on TfL services but e-bikes are still not.
They are just as dangerous, @TfL needs to act now and ban them.
I really think @TfL needs to ban delivery riders bringing these non road legal electric motorcycles/e-bikes on their services before one inevitably bursts into flames.
Seeing 4+ cluttering up a single carriage these days, sometimes even locked to the grab rails.
Unacceptable.
UK faces youth jobs crisis as number of ‘neets’ rises to almost 1m - The Guardian.
Always a worrying figure for any area of the UK. The article refers to a cooling jobs market but most business sectors talk of a skills shortage. apple.news/AAZ-hlmpcSaShNgq8…
@bathnes the pavement on the upper Bristol Road was partially iced up this morning and is very dangerous. Existing drainage needs to be cleaned. @bathnesld please get this improved. Thx
But Brexit was all to address the divisions in the Tory party. The sad truth was that labour then realised that the ordinary people of this country had been sold a lie over many years and their party were unable to undo their own lies.
