It's insanely painful to read any piece of text written by claude recently. Verbose, metaphor filled technical prose. Expressing ideas clearly and concisely is the sign of real intelligence
it has become legitimately difficult to use Claude b/c of the cringe. the writing style is so uncomfortable, so sycophantic, so unreasonably confident that I am actually struggling to keep going not to mention the obvious holes in the product experience make it joyful again!

Been using Vox for a month now and been cool having my voice input go from 0 -> ~70% . Picks up whispers and works in loud environments so almost private speech. Congrats Tomás!
Introducing VOX: a microphone you wear on your skin, made for private dictation. Works with low-volume speech (even whispers) and in loud environments. Remappable buttons for your shortcuts.

Hard-hitting column by @KristaKafer of the @denverpost on the #FarmBill: "Colorado led the way against farm animal cruelty. Now Congress will roll it back." The time is now for Colorado's Senators to stand up for states' rights, humane laws, and family farmers. We must stop the #SAVEourBACONscam "Now it’s up to @SenatorBennet and @SenatorHick to act on behalf of states that have humane laws. They should amend the recently House-passed Farm Bill to remove the provision or block the bill’s final passage." In the words of Colorado State University animal sciences Professor Temple Grandin, 'We’ve got to treat animals right, and gestation stalls have got to go. Confining an animal for most of its life in a box in which it is not able to turn around does not provide a decent life.'" #FarmBill #StopSaveOurBacon denverpost.com/2026/05/18/an…

A very interesting observation by Elon below. And it’s just one example. Startups have brought more progress to the world this century than any NGO or government program. By far. When you hear NGO, think NoGO. They provide some incremental, mostly palliative care, but they don’t lead structural change for the better, and sometimes, achieve quite the opposite. How can we do better? One idea: we should allow donations to corporations to be as tax-deductible as to NGOs. Unleash catalytic philanthropy. I first had this thought when Larry Page reflected that were he to be hit by a bus, he should leave his entire estate to Elon Musk, instead of any non-profit he could think of, because he believes in the missions of SpaceX and Tesla and knows they are more likely to achieve their mission than any non-profit. And they become self-sustaining from internal cash flows; early donations are catalytic, and more rewarding to the donor than the unsustainable cost center inefficiency and waste of most NGOs. — video clip of my discussion with Elon about this: youtube.com/shorts/fJA9cw5Cy…
Starlink has done more than any NGO to lift people out of poverty by connecting them with a means of education and a market for their good & services via the Internet

Show the politicians houses 15 years apart
Incredible account… Guy in Johannesburg posts nothing but pictures of the same spot 15-20 years apart. South Africa after decolonization.

In daily life, it’s easy to get swept up in routine and forget where we came from. Seeing chimps in person is a powerful reminder of how inseparable we are from the rest of life, and how deeply it binds us together. Grateful for people like Jane Goodall, who devoted so much to preserving our history and protecting our closest relatives.

Software development is more than just coding. Introducing Droids -- the world's first software development agents. 🤖 Starting today, Droids are available for general access. Factory integrates with your entire engineering system (GitHub, Slack, Linear, Notion, Sentry) and serves that context to your Droids as they autonomously build production-ready software. Factory is the first platform that allows you to work with agents: local + synchronous and remote + asynchronous.

@xAI has acquired @X in an all-stock transaction. The combination values xAI at $80 billion and X at $33 billion ($45B less $12B debt). Since its founding two years ago, xAI has rapidly become one of the leading AI labs in the world, building models and data centers at unprecedented speed and scale. X is the digital town square where more than 600M active users go to find the real-time source of ground truth and, in the last two years, has been transformed into one of the most efficient companies in the world, positioning it to deliver scalable future growth. xAI and X’s futures are intertwined. Today, we officially take the step to combine the data, models, compute, distribution and talent. This combination will unlock immense potential by blending xAI’s advanced AI capability and expertise with X’s massive reach. The combined company will deliver smarter, more meaningful experiences to billions of people while staying true to our core mission of seeking truth and advancing knowledge. This will allow us to build a platform that doesn’t just reflect the world but actively accelerates human progress. I would like to recognize the hardcore dedication of everyone at xAI and X that has brought us to this point. This is just the beginning. Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
