This year, our school couldn't make theater because of COVID.
So we made some television instead.
All four episodes of CATASTROPHE THEORY are now available. Check out the preview below.

Normally at this time of year, I bake cookies to -eh hem- buy my advisory’s love.
But new year, new responsibilities.
And there are SO many more kids at tomorrow’s activities fair than the 8 I usually bake for.

On FB, someone asked for recs on how to do Shakespeare with middle school.

whaddy’all think of this idea: something like the hatch act that you can be fined/prosecuted/whatever if you stay silent on info that was in the nation’s best interest to know publicly, for your own political or financial gain? (eg running for office or book deal.)
Last day of school cookies.
There’s a chance I ate one. There’s a chance it was fantastic.
(If you’re my student or colleague, you know where I’ll be…)

Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself.

People will ask "what's your wip about?" as if we writers don't have 93839 of them. There's the book I'm writing, the book I'm secretly writing on the side, the book I write in my head before sleep, the shiny idea I might start at any second, the Dream Project I'm saving for--
New release!!
This week, we performed Myth Takes, a series of short stories about who we are and how we grow.
One of the pieces was a 15-minute musical based on The Bremen Town Musicians.

We needed a small wolf sculpture for our production this week. Struck out on Amazon. So I pulled out some fimo and went to work.
Not too shabby for someone who hasn’t sculpted in over a decade…

Black women don't have the luxury of screaming, crying, or raging at Senate hearings like prior judicial nominees. For anyone that has "questions" about her judicial demeanor, patience, or exceptional skills, please see your way to this clip and then firmly out the door.

As Judge Jackson begins her Supreme Court confirmation hearings this week, I look forward to the Senate and country seeing how incredibly qualified she is for the job. She’s a brilliant legal mind with the utmost character and integrity. I know she’ll make an exceptional Justice.
Extra incentive for my 11th and 12th graders to show up on time tomorrow for first block…
(And yes, I ran out of liners.)
