On August 16, 1993, in Columbus, Ohio, 37-year-old Doug Conely positioned a white plastic lawn chair at a residential intersection, pointing a .38-caliber revolver at his head.
Following the arrival of law enforcement, renowned Columbus SWAT sniper Mike Plumb, a Vietnam War veteran, positioned himself for what would become one of the most remarkable demonstrations of marksmanship ever captured on camera.
Equipped with a Steyr SSG PII and positioned about 82 yards away, Plumb took precise aim. Upon receiving the command, he fired a round directly through the cylinder of Conely's .38 Special.
As the authorities tackled a stunned, now-disarmed Conley, the suicidal man said: "That was a great shot."

A little boy lives not far from the frontlines in Ukraine. Whenever he heard our combat helicopters flying near, he would run out and greet them with a Ukrainian flag.
One day, the helicopter pilots landed near him to meet the boy and bring some presents for him and his family.

BREAKING: Donald Trump gets nailed with bad news as New York Attorney General Letitia James pumps the brakes and demands proof that the company covering his $175 million bond is "financially sound."
This is the last thing that Trump needed...
In a new surprise filing with the court, James demanded the proof because she has serious concerns about Knight Speciality Insurance Company, the company underwriting the massive bond.
The filing states that James "hereby takes exception to the sufficiency of the surety" and notes that the company is operating "without a certificate of qualification."
New York law stipulates that such companies show that they're "solvent, responsible and otherwise qualified to make policies or contracts of the kind required."
Knight Speciality Insurance Company operates out of California and so James doesn't have access to the required information. She is demanding that they produce adequate evidence to show that they can cover the amount if Trump loses his appeal.

Last year, a young man named Harry wrote me a letter about what it’s like to live with a stutter. Tonight, I met him and his family in Milwaukee and shared some techniques I use to overcome mine.
My message to Harry was simple: don’t let anyone tell you what you can or can’t do.

Hillary Clinton on Voters who are upset about the choices in November:
“Get over yourselves…. One is old and effective and compassionate, has a heart and really cares about people, and one is old and has been charged with 91 felonies… I don’t understand why this is a hard choice.”
The movie stunt profession owes a huge shout out of thanks to David Leitch and Greg Smrz. They’ve both moved the possibility of an Oscar for movie action closer than it’s ever been before. Since both began leading this quest the potential for success has become real.
