A touching moment at the Obama–El-Sayed rally as the crowd erupted into chants honoring 95-year-old former Congressman Sander Levin. ❤️
@Andy_Levin
I felt that I needed to take my dad, who is 95, to @BarackObama’s rally. I’ll never forget how the crowd received him. He loved every minute of meeting our incredible slate of candidates. In little clutches backstage, he offered to help every one of them in the closing days . 🥹
I had such an inspiring visit to Grand Rapids yesterday campaigning for @AbdulElSayed. People seemed so tuned in, energized, worried, motivated, vulnerable to each other, hungry for community - ready to do their part to drive meaningful change in this country.

So this week, almost three years since Ady’s death, I’ve been thinking about him as I joined @seed_the_vote, @IfNotNowOrg, @jewishaction, @Andy_Levin, Jews for Democracy, and others in Michigan to encourage people to vote for Abdul for Senate.
Like me, Ady was a proud American Jew. His dad’s Israeli. He was a strong advocate for Palestinian human rights, fought hard against antisemitism, and he believed in shared safety — for Israelis & Palestinians, for Jews & Muslims and everyone else here and there.
I’ll be launching a canvass for the William Lawrence for Congress Weekend of Action in Brighton! Help us knock 7,000 doors in MI-07! @WeWill2026

Let’s go! 642 and counting. Join MI Jews for Democracy and show the strength of our movement against Mike Rogers and his far-right, MAGA agenda. Not to mention, our excitement FOR @AbdulElSayed and FOR the values Jewish voters hold dear!

Wow — how great to see 570 (and counting!) Michigan Jews standing up publicly for what’s right amidst all the heated rhetoric. On Nov 3, we will help move our democracy forward.

Among the signers urging support for Dr. El-Sayed are prominent Jewish Dems including AG nominee @EliNSavit, @Levin4Congress & the chair of the Michigan Democratic Jewish Caucus. nytimes.com/2026/09/17/us/po…

Spoiler alert! It involves also fighting Islamophobia

I’m so proud of the way my dad continues to follow the news so closely and wants to be part of the national conversation at 95! He insisted on speaking up at this moment, when some people in our community feel unsure about what to do. Lead on, Sandy Levin!

No paywall. See you there!

Have you had it with the disgusting Islamophobic attacks, some of which are coming from Jewish Americans?
Wondering what the hell is up with the whole Hasan Piker thing and why it’s (supposedly) a bigger deal than flipping the Senate and defeating fascism?

Tired of listening to certain Jewish Americans with large platforms bashing Abdul El-Sayed—while claiming to speak for the Jewish community?
Perhaps you’re shocked to learn that there are many Jewish Americans who think it’s existentially vital to support El-Sayed vs. MAGA?

Wow, what a night!
Michigan is contributing to US democracy big time. Do the math:
@AbdulElSayed + @WeWill2026 + @DonavanMI13 + @JustinOnwenu + @abbasformi = change!
Today, Michigan launched a new chapter in our political history. Out with all the big money, dark money and corporate and special interest control of our politics. We the people hunger for authenticity, truth-telling and bold action. And that’s what will win in November.
Amidst choking smoke from a burning planet, sky high prices at the gas pump and in the grocery store, and unaffordable health care and housing, Michigan Democratic voters declared independence today.
