This week AI found a flaw that puts up to 70% of websites at risk. US banks started blocking AI agents from customer accounts. Bank of America hired 1,000 contractors to patch what AI exposed. I don't think the system is collapsing. But the old systems were built for human-speed attackers, and flaws are now being found at machine speed. "Trust us" is getting expensive, and I think a lot of people will start asking what they can verify for themselves. My bet is that this is what pulls people toward crypto. Math you can check, code anyone can audit, keys you hold yourself. Quantum is the next test. The Ethereum Foundation has a dedicated post-quantum team and a public roadmap, with hash-based signatures for validators and a path to quantum-safe accounts. It's years of work and it isn't finished. No quantum computer can break Ethereum today, and the EF doesn't expect one soon. But a Google paper this year cut the estimate for breaking this kind of signature by about 20 times, so starting early matters. Ethereum is doing it in public. Crypto gets hacked too.
