“For small creatures such as we, the vastness is bearable only through love.” - #CarlSagan
Love this.

Palmer Luckey explains why China is advancing so rapidly in technology and why the United States is struggling to keep up 🇺🇸🇨🇳
“The reason China is doing so well with advanced technology isn’t that they have a lot of people. It’s that they made a series of decisions that make high-tech companies much faster and much more effective.
They have very low-cost energy. You can complain about all of their coal plants, but the net output is that they have a very, very low cost of energy.
You have a really favorable labor environment. You have a very favorable logistics and supply chain world. You have very favorable laws regarding the extraction and processing of metals, minerals, and rare earths.
People ask me, ‘Palmer, what can we do to catch up with China?’
I say, ‘We need way more energy. We’re probably going to need to burn a lot more fossil fuels, and we’re probably going to need to relax labor laws.’
And they say, ‘I want to catch up with China, but I don’t want to do any of the things they’re doing to lead.’
You have to make a choice at some point. It’s not really possible to say, ‘I want to win, but I’m not willing to do anything to do that.’”

The popular brand Primal Kitchen was bought by Kraft Heinz, and now 90%+ of their avocado oil products are fraud
UC Davis did testing and found that 93% of chips and 100% of dressings all came back as having no avocado oil, even though they were labeled as having avocado oil
“Kraft Heinz bought out Primal Kitchen for $200 million, and people immediately started to notice differentiation in taste. But what people didn't realize is that the labels started to change what was actually inside the products”
48 of 54 samples were inconsistent with avocado oil in the US Davis testing. Many other brands also failed
- Chips: 93% failed
- Salad dressings: 100% failed
- Mayonnaises: 71% failed
Avoid people who place tribe over truth. If stuck in your tribe, socialize with its heretics. At the very least, the psychology of a tribe’s contrarians isn’t ruled by group think.
An ancient story. One that I love.
A person is good.
A good person is hurt.
Hurt people hurt people.
A good person, in his hurt, hurts others.
A good person becomes “bad.”
Enter grace, or good fortune.
A bad person is gifted love.
The bad person suddenly remembers.
Remembers what love feels like.
Remembers that he, too, is good.
A person is good.

She left Vancouver for Florida in 2024.
Her business grew 50% in one year, housing was cheaper, and taxes were lower.
And she's not alone—over 120,000 Canadians left the country last year.

The company behind POM juice, a juice marketed as a superfood antioxidant-rich drink, was just named California’s 2nd-largest user of paraquat — one of the most toxic herbicides still allowed in the U.S.
Over 56,000 pounds sprayed in a single year… on crops used to make this so called health drink.
Paraquat has been linked to Parkinson’s disease, cancer, and neurological damage. It drifts into nearby communities and lingers in soil for years.
More than 60 countries have already banned it.
So why is it still being used here?
Help us continue the work to get these chemicals out of our food supply.

We (the internet) owe an apology to Kristin Cabot. For clicking, laughing, sharing, judging. My way of apologizing is to share her narrative:

Hell is confining your spirit, dreams and choices to the expectations of your family, culture or community.
Normalize outgrowing people. Outgrow your friends. Outgrow your colleagues and especially your boss. Outgrow your lover/spouse. Outgrow your kids (if you can). Force those around you to level up and all will be better off. #growth

Even worse than someone with low EQ is someone with low EQ who thinks they have high EQ
Same goes for IQ
Delusion is more insufferable than ignorance
So Deepak Chopra says to #Epstein 'I trust you' - appears Deepak needs more enlightenment. Clowns.
Going to Milan for the olympics sounds fun unless you live in Italy and know that it'll be a hot mess. Happy watching from the countryside, thank you very much. #Piedmont
RIP
@ScottAdamsSays
- you challenged me, educated me, often infuriated me...but always made me think. I've expanded thanks to you.
Many reasons why this is sad...an undiscussed one is that Italians are a beautiful people.

#Canadian. #Healthcare. Sucks. Best way to kill people you love is have them try to get healthy via Canadian hospital system. Go Canada Go!
"The greater issue is a cultural one: a growing frustration with what often feels like limitless tolerance for public disorder and antisocial behavior—and with it, a sense that one must not only avoid discussing these things to remain a liberal in good standing, but actively pretend they don’t exist"
