The excited/positive reactions we're seeing for the Hayley character & her storyline really highlights why it's best when writers own what a villain did vs. whitewash them. It's noticeable that the whitewashed characters have never generated this same excitement. #BeyondtheGates
To put what the #BeyondtheGates writers do into perspective. It would be like if the #BoldandBeautul writers downplayed the Forresters & especially Steffy for Sheila. They wouldn't dare do that. So why do some #BTG fans act so surprised seeing some fans anger about Leslie?
It's 1 thing for writers to just have personal favorites. Most shows do. But why are the writers on #BeyondtheGates going out of their way to piss off it's viewers to push these favorites? This is what i'm not getting. It's just odd that a important soap is being wasted like this
Out of the 5 soaps, the #BeyondtheGates fandom seems to be the most fragile. I see way too much chastising BS just because a fan expresses they have issues with the show or a character. While I notice the other soap fandoms, I don't see this same sensitivity.
Finally saw the #MichaelMovie and I loved it. Loved the performances especially from Jaafar & Colman & special shout out to Juliano. I do agree it would have been nice to have an extra 30 minutes. But considering this film has so much that was cut out. It was still enjoyable AF

Say it again!!! I've BEEN saying, they are playing respectability politics with these black folks.
Stephanie Forrester would've dragged Leslie all up and through Fairmont Crest, or she would've shot the bitch by now. The Duprees are written to be weak af!!! #BeyondTheGates #BTG
The biggest fault of #BeyondTheGates is that it’s boring. #BoldandBeautiful is a trainwreck, but it has some entertainment value. BTG plays it so safe that the storylines become lifeless. This wouldn’t be as bad if they at least did character work, but they don’t do that, either.

"My parents have been married for 75 years but few have noticed. Most of their friends have died. I contacted 6 local news stations and the Union Tribune newspaper giving details so they could do a story on their lives. Not one response from anyone. I think living into your 90's and staying married 75 years is quite an accomplishment. If you agree, please like and share my post. I want to show them people do care."

The show has been so good lately, but i'm baffled by the writers continuing to fumble the Kat character. Why continue to tie her down to the tired Eva feud & head scratching Tomas storyline? #BeyondtheGates
As much as some #BeyondtheGates fans don't like fans harping on the show's issues. Notice most of these issues are being mentioned in these Best & Worst lists.
So the fans haven't been "bitching" just to bitch. Obviously the criticisms have been valid.
I don't get why they make such a point to show the Duprees going hard at Andre & then never show them calling out Tomas. Or we won't get a scene of them calling out Eva for what she did to Kat. But you always know we're going to see them call out Andre. It's weird #BeyondTheGates
Outside of the pushing of Ashley & forcing the Ashley/Andre storyline, I would say the 2nd most head scratching writing decision on #BeyondtheGates is keeping Kat tied to Tomas & forcing this terrible ass "triangle". Like it just makes no sense as to why Kat is still around Tomas
