It’s also ridiculous to claim that the abuse threshold is high when it refers to “economic & psychological pressure”
Has she ever met a 14 yr old girl? I regularly applied economic & psychological pressure to mine. I sometimes took her phone off her or switched the internet off, I controlled when she had access to money and sometimes who she was and wasn’t allowed to meet with.
All of the above would be completely inappropriate for an adult to do to another adult. But she wasn’t an adult and as she is now a successful, home owning career woman rather than a ketamine dealer, I stand by every minute of it.

Feminist academic & practitioner here; no. feminism is the political movement of and for women, with specific aim of liberating all women & girls from the oppression of patriarchy.

This is not feminism, but humanism. It's like responding to the Black Lives Matter movement by saying that All Lives Matter. Iow, you erase the very reason for feminism in your redefinition of it. That reason is the mistreatment of girls and women merely because of their sex.

690,000 stories? That would be almost 10x more than the number of individuals killed.

because she held a protected belief in the integrity of evidence-based medicine. The respondent defends all claims and specifically the latter claim by pleading that evidence-based medicine is just an opinion, not cogent or coherent and not relevant to a weighty or substantial aspect of human life and behaviour

Ever since the rise of Reform the number of people wearing red trousers at Tory conference has fallen to near zero. Shame.

The evidence that bisexual individuals are more likely to experience intimate personal violence (IPV) than gay or straight people is, not to put too fine a point on it, generally piss weak and riddled with significant limitations including all the usual problems you get with a very limited supply of small scale cross-sectional self-report studies using convenience samples that lack any consistent definitions or measures of IPV, most of which come from a single country, the United States, limiting their generalisability across other countries with differing cultural attitudes to bisexuality.
Despite these limitations, several risk factors have been tentatively identified, the most significant one being that being a bisexual female with a male partner.
Sexual infidelity is also an identified risk factor - for women - as is being in an open relationship - also for women - and one study also found a direct effect of having either a bisexual male partner or a male partner that views bisexuality in a negative light, and the people on the sharp end of that increase in risk were...
...women.
It's almost as if the common factor in all this isn't so much bisexuality as being female but, as I mentioned earlier, the evidence base is rather sketchy and lacking in either well-designed longitudinal studies or credible epidemiological research, so its difficult to draw any strong conclusions from any of this...
...other than that the greatest risk of interpersonal violence is borne by *checks notes* WOMEN.
Any ways here's some actual research - pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/article…
Bi people are more likely than gay or straight people to experience domestic violence, and I have absolutely no doubt at all that is linked to societal prejudices like the assumption that they are actually gay, inherently promiscuous, or somehow romantically untrustworthy & dishonest about their “real” sexuality - all reasons I’ve heard from straight women as to why they don’t want to date bi men.
All you’re doing is shutting down discussion of the real impacts of bigotry by pretending anyone has ever tried to force anyone to date anyone they don’t want to. How tedious.
