Betty White broke barriers, defied expectations, served her country, and pushed us all to laugh. Barack and I join so many around the world who will miss the joy she brought to the world. I know our Bo is looking forward to seeing her up in heaven.

Yaaassss @FaithMinor7 Cheers to teaching kids the skills they need to succeed! #ElonEd
A5: Often S's do not like small group projects because they don't know how to work effectively within them. It is the teacher's responsibility to model and teach effective group work strategies. Part of the project IS collaboration, and it should be treated that way #ElonEd

A6: I think we as educators can help co-create a culture of care through mindful listening and shared experiences to help enhance “buy in” and again .. with holding space that fosters mattering. #ElonEd
Q6: What can teachers do to create a positive motivational climate in their classroom? #ElonEd

Could it be that students have been taught that their voice doesn’t matter? How can they contribute well if they don’t feel like they matter? How can we build students up and foster a sense of community before we expect them to work in small groups? #ElonEd
Q5: Many students do not like working in small groups. Why is that? What can teachers do to make collaboration better for students? #ElonEd

A4 I build in mindfulness in our day. We normalize articulating how we feel and what we notice with our bodies with no judgement. Shout out to @Mindful_Schools for all the amazing training I have been fortunate to receive. #ElonEd

When someone is consistent in being who they are, you calling cancellation may be rooted in misplaced expectations. Know them by their fruits and check the roots #HipHopEd

One of the most pervasive issues in contemporary education is the unwillingness of adults to give children the space to make mistakes #HipHopEd

This is my ninth year teaching first grade and the start of it is like no other. We are over two weeks in and exhaustion has set in. Saying that the needs for students, teachers and caregivers is high is an understatement. This is unsustainable.

So co-creating curriculum with students is part of #RadicalWelcoming eh? #HipHopEd
We have to ensure that our curriculum is a part of our #RadicalWelcoming strategy and approach #HipHopEd

I want my students to have experiences each day that contribute to belongingness in our class community. That means I need to be listening, allowing, pausing and affirming. I have learned a lot about this from @DisruptivPeace @VillageOfWisdom and @Mindful_Schools #HipHopEd
What type of experiences do you want your students to have in the classroom? #HipHopEd #RadicalWelcoming

So, this means that we (as educators) should be constantly studying our students. We don’t ever fully have them all figured out. #RadicalWelcoming #HipHopEd
Replying to @MrDoggettRMS
Who we are is something that is constantly evolving. The space that allows the students to explore and free engage in the process is one that is radically welcoming #HipHopEd

Radical Welcoming begins with being humble enough to appreciate the families for placing their babies in your care. #HipHopEd
