Oh blimey, it’s kicking off at the Samaritans! With plans to close over 100 branches, volunteers are ready to pack their bags and leave, fearing it’ll hit the charity’s ability to help those in need. If you think remote working is the answer, just wait until you’re fielding calls in your pajamas at 3 AM. Not quite the same, is it?

Yesterday I was on BBC Radio Scotland to discuss survey results that showed two thirds of girls changed their daily behaviour due to sexual harassment. A man then texted in to say that schoolgirls shouldn’t wear short skirts if they don’t want to be harassed. Unbelievable.

Like most women, I've not been hassled, molested, or abused by a trans person. I cannot say the same thing of straight cis men. Any demographic can commit abuse, certainly, but the stats are not on cis men's side. Some of them do 'protest too much' about 'women's safety'.
