Vienna philosophy retreat was great! Discussing philosophy and (un)related things in a beautiful city with great company. And lots of drinks indeed. Looking forward to the next one.

Philosophy for Business Leaders, Asking Questions, Navigating Uncertainty, and the Quest for Meaning
It's better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
A beautiful proverb, and quite relevant those days.

Showing @Anne_Albert around Salamanca.
He first signed up for my online philosophy courses in 2021. Then we co-taught 2 courses. Now he's visiting me under the bridge.
Come to Salamanca, will show you around, we'll hangout under the bridge, & have drinks in the Plaza Mayor.
Finished @Decafquest's Philosophy for Professionals workshop yesterday!
Mahmoud's ability to make philosophy both relevant and engaging is impressive🔥 fun and thought-provoking discussions are guaranteed.
I highly recommend this course for curious professionals!
Wrapped up the Philosophy for Professionals workshop yesterday with a discussion about the basic frameworks for ethical analysis.
This workshop has been quite distinct from any of the other courses I have taught in the past 3 years.
It was the first time I used case studies to facilitate the discussion. This approach proved to be immensely helpful for individuals who could relate to the presented philosophical concepts and felt comfortable applying them during the conversation.
Everyone enrolled was engaged and actively participated in the discussion, bringing in fresh and different perspectives based on their own professional experience.
There are still a few things I need to tweak, fine-tune, adapt, and improve for the second iteration in July. It's going to be lit!
A huge thank you to everyone who signed up for this one. It was good to teach again after a 5-month, much-needed, break!

Kicking off on Tuesday, May 16! More info below:
This series focuses on the controversial ideas of Thomas Kuhn and Paul Feyerabend about the rationality of natural science. Their reputation as anti-methodologists and advocates of relativism earned Feyerabend the title of “the Salvador Dali of academic philosophy”, and “the worst enemy of science”.
While it is true that both oppose the idea that there is some single, invariant, and unifying “Scientific Method”, their positions are in fact more nuanced as they nevertheless continue to uphold a role for method in the pursuit of science.
By taking a closer look at their writings, we will be trying to get a more accurate assessment of their views on science.
Week 1. After Popper: the Historical Turn in Philosophy of Science
Week 2. The Incommensurability of Scientific Theories
Week 3. Relativism and Realism in Science

The MBTI personality test: as popular as it is controversial.
I've spend some years trying to understand myself and others better using the theories behind the MBTI.
Here I describe some of my experiences with this and why ultimately I stopped using it.
