" What matters is whether the infrastructure has alternative routes when something fails. "
One app does not mean one provider. 🏦 When you open a fintech app, everything looks like one service. Behind the interface, multiple companies may be responsible for moving your money. Here are 5 infrastructure models: 1. Bank-Led Fintech @RevolutApp • Banking services operate through licensed entities. • Visa and Mastercard provide card payment networks. • Different jurisdictions can have different infrastructure. 2. Payment-Network Fintech @Wise • Builds its own international payment infrastructure. • Connects to local banking and payment systems. • One transfer can cross several financial networks. 3. Exchange-Led Fintech @cryptocom • Crypto trading, fiat accounts and cards may be provided by different regulated entities. • Card issuers and legal structures vary by country. • One app combines several financial services. 4. Wallet-Led Card @MetaMask • Users retain crypto in a self-custody wallet. • Baanx/Monavate provides card infrastructure. • A regulated issuer and Mastercard connect the wallet to merchants. 5. Hybrid Crypto + Banking @Anotherapp_io • Non-custodial wallet for crypto. • Bridge for stablecoin-backed banking infrastructure. • Verestro for separate card and payment-network dependencies. • In house technology for onboarding multiple providers for any module of the app. --- One app. Multiple providers. Multiple potential failure points. A banking outage doesn't necessarily stop crypto transfers. A blockchain outage doesn't necessarily stop EUR payments. But losing one critical provider can disable an entire payment flow. More providers don't automatically mean more resilience. What matters is whether the infrastructure has alternative routes when something fails. Stay notified for more.

@Anotherapp_io 27.1.2 for IOS is here! A major update focused on personalisation, faster, easier payments and better spending insights. One of our most requested features since launch is finally here: Light Mode and custom accent colours. But there's much more coming with this release. Here's what's new 👇 1. Light & Dark Mode • Choose between Light and Dark themes. • 10 accent colours per theme, including Monochrome. • Live preview before selecting your theme. 2. Home Screen & Lock Screen Widgets • 8 widgets: Spending, Recent Activity, Quick Actions, Card Lock, Watchlist, Payment Link, People, Crypto Address + QR. • 3 widgets also work on the iOS Lock Screen. • Access important features without opening the app. 3. Faster Payments • One search box for sending money. • Find people by name, phone number or @username. • No more choosing between Friends and Someone Else. Access everything from one screen. 4. Saved Recipients • Save any recipient's IBAN or crypto address. • Send payments directly from Send or chat. • Save bank accounts and wallets from previous transactions. Do it once, use it any time. 5. Custom Spending Categories • Create categories with custom icons and colours. • Move card transactions between categories. • Split a single payment across up to 5 categories. • Spending Insights automatically updates each category. 6. Better Spending Insights • See your Top 5 merchants. • Search your complete merchant list. • Filter spending by week, month or custom date range. 7. New iOS Design • Liquid Glass navigation bar. • Updated interface for iOS 26. 8. Smaller Improvements • Redesigned History filters, including merchant categories. • Redesigned Payment Links. • Group requests now preserve the entered amount. • SEPA fees shown before sending payments. • Clear warnings for unsupported IBANs. • New language picker supporting 15 languages. • Change your account email directly in the app. 9. Fixes & Polish • Pending card payments now display correctly. • Photo stories open correctly. • Verified users skip the unnecessary email step. • Additional Light Mode refinements. The goal is simple: make Another App deliver the best user experience, more personal and more useful for everyday payments. No matter if it's crypto, bank transfer, card spending and any combination, it should all be the same: easy, fast and farmiliar. We're listening to feedback and continuously improving the experience. This release is another step toward an app that feels truly yours. Stay notified for more.
