I think it’s time to rethink how we build software.

We need one IDE that supports every language, is as fast as @zeddotdev, as smart and polished as @jetbrains, and has agentic workflows like @getsome_air (but with a few more features).

I’m the best product manager ever.
Yeah, it's Clojure and CL. Been there since forever.
Using AI as an excuse to move toward lower level languages feels completely backwards to me
“We don’t need to understand all this complexity, AI does” is exactly the wrong direction. Human understanding is required for every functioning software system
The goal should be high level languages with low level performance, not low level languages obscured and incomprehensible having to be explained by a non-deterministic AI translation layer
What we need is even higher level languages optimized for human understanding. That is the modern bottleneck we’re facing right now
The best language for LLMs is the one that provides fast feedback.
The irony is that this quality makes it best for humans as well, yet somehow the entire software development industry has completely ignored it.
Such languages have been available for years: CL and Clojure
This!
Replying to @AntLobach
I’m loving my Common Lisp setup. MCP with swank and it just flys. Any error conditions pause the app and trigger the LLM to fix and unpause. You can just build while you use the app without restarting. My MCP keeps track of hot loaded code so it can diff and write back to files on disk.
Common Lisp and Clojure, no compile times at all, it's all just live repl-driven development.
There's a gem here waiting to be discovered

I've ported Farolero to support Jolt github.com/antlobach/faroler…
It brings Common Lisp style conditions and restarts system to Jolt (Clojure on Chez Scheme).
Especially with CQRS and Datastar

You never really know how your open source work effects others... Thanks again for all that @TheGingerBill has given!
Wow, Laya (huggingface.co/convaiinnovat…)
inference in Jolt (Clojure running on Chez Scheme)

How I built Laya

Introduced a simple anomaly in the sine wave and it caught it!
So anomaly detection could probably be one use case.
