Hundreds of ballots sitting out in an open hallway at a Skid Row homeless shelter with over 1,100 people registered to vote there. The shelter says they’re supposed to be locked up. A photo and on-site check confirmed they weren’t. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli has already said there’s a federal investigation into election ballots on Skid Row. This is the same system that previously turned up thousands of voter registrations tied to shelters and drop-in centers, including places that don’t even have beds. Chain of custody is supposed to matter. Leaving stacks of ballots out in the open where anyone can walk through is not how you protect it (xitter.cf/larry_mcwethy/status/2…) (xitter.cf/EricLDaugh/status/2099…) (xitter.cf/CRRJA5/status/20645606…)

Fraudulent false claim was just dropped after my dispute. Why these frauds are even able to do this I have no idea.
I've had a copyright claim submitted over a few small Tesla clips in my latest video while talking about some of the sweet Roadster thruster footage. Obviously all fair use. How is it fair @YouTubeCreators that a baseless claim like this can be made by a company that has absolutely nothing to do with Tesla? All monetisation removed again for up to 30 days including shopping and I just need to take it until my dispute expires. Add to that I need to tick boxes in my dispute submission agreeing that "I understand that filing fraudulent disputes may result in termination of my YouTube channel." For creators this stuff scares them into being bullied into having their earnings taken away. It only needs a 2 second glance to see that the claim itself is fraudulent, so such claims should never make their way to a creator in the first place. All the power is with the claimant, almost nothing with the creator. 🥺

I still cannot believe how far NASA was drifting off track before Jarred became administrator. The cancellation of Viper was a good example. The purpose in going back to the moon was to see if volitiles in the polar craters could be utilised (for fuel production etc). So NASA tried to cancel the very rover that would analyze what is in the craters (VIPER). Under Issacmann there will now be a second such rover, "Promise" which is the test platform originally for the Mars rovers Curiosity and Perserverance. I still have no understanding as to why NASA was trying to build the gateway, it was absolutely useless, as no more could be done on it than what was already being done on the ISS. The easiest way of getting to the lunar surface should always have been the priority.

🌕 The Hunter’s Moon, October’s Full Moon, peaking at 12:12 AM ET, photobombed by a Boeing 737-800 (N8698B) over Florida's Space Coast. @SouthwestAir 2257 was traveling from Orlando (MCO) to San Juan (SJU), on Sunday (10/25) @ 20,150 ft & 398 kts. This Moon is named for the autumn hunting season, when a bright Moon over the cleared fields helped hunters track game. If you've got clear skies tonight, go outside and check it out. 📷: me, flight data: @flightradar24 – at Melbourne, FL

I took about 50,000 photos through a 14" telescope last night to produce this: A hyper-detailed photo of the full moon. The fidelity of the photo was great enough to allow me to greatly enhance the color, revealing a hidden world of geological diversity.

We’re just days away from restoring natural morning sunlight. Stop Scott’s “Sunshine” Act! Ditch DST with permanent Standard Time!
We’re just days away from yet another time change. It doesn’t have to be this way! It’s time for the Senate to pass my Sunshine Protection Act, lock the clock, and end the needless back-and-forth. Let’s get it done!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Sen. Scott's Sunshine Protection Act would make daylight saving time permanent year-round. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine and other experts recommend permanent standard time instead, as it better aligns with human circadian biology and supports health and safety. congress.gov/bill/119th-con… en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunshine_… aasm.org/new-position-s… pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10…
