Perplexity just became the the first Al company to truly go head-to-head with the Bloomberg Terminal... Using Perplexity Computer (with no local setup or single LLM limitation), it was able to build me a terminal with real-time data to analyze $NVDA using Perplexity Finance:
Introducing Perplexity Computer. Computer unifies every current AI capability into one system. It can research, design, code, deploy, and manage any project end-to-end.

I agree with you on how the people there are really wonderful and kind (having been there myself), but the industries and the government is something we need to look at differently, very differently.

Announcing a new Claude Code feature: Remote Control. It's rolling out now to Max users in research preview. Try it with /remote-control Start local sessions from the terminal, then continue them from your phone. Take a walk, see the sun, walk your dog without losing your flow.

We all use Chinese models now for everything by the way Hey @AnthropicAI you need to open source or America loses
there is a part of me which wants to side with the US-based AI companies but since most don't really care about people that much and only care about capturing as much GDP as they possibly can i have to ask: how is model distillation any different than these companies all training on copyrighted data (which we know they do)? also, if these chinese firms can trivially make a bunch of calls to these models and create a distilled version which is good enough for 90% of purposes, then why aren't the US-based AI companies just doing it themselves and saving everyone a lot in token costs? perhaps they are already with the flash models, but maybe they're not doing it as much as they could be and want to charge as much for tokens for as long as they think the market will bear it also, why don't any of them release some useful open source models on their own (besides Meta). why is the world relying on Chinese companies to do this? information and knowledge will be free we're not going to be serfs to 3 companies who maintain the models just because they want us to be

Vibe coding only works (as a newbie) if you’re willing to sit there and read the entire output/logic/breakdowns and want to understand what the fuck is going on. Physically doing it has taught me more than any book/mentor/class ever could

My local bagel shop raised the price of a bacon egg and cheese when eggs were through the roof. When the price of eggs corrected, you think they corrected the price increase on the BEC? No. You can’t possibly expect these companies to lower prices when they already know you will pay, regardless of the “why”.

Can you let me suppliers know this so they can lower the prices of things i buy from them please?

Every result on Picksy is generated using crypto.randomInt() — a cryptographically secure pseudo-random number generator (CSPRNG) provided by Node.js. Results are computed server-side, logged with full proof metadata, and cannot be predicted or manipulated. Each draw includes the raw random value, selected index, total entries, and an entries snapshot for complete auditability.

Referring to Ray Dalio article, Govs seize gold/assets for "greater good" like US in '33. Wealth vanishes, your ability to adapt and produce stays. Focus there. Can’t seize your knowledge / value creation abilities.

i always laugh when an LLM tells me some coding task is going to take 4-8 weeks, as if i'm not about to tell it to one-shot it

Under Biden, companies were forced offshore. Under @realDonaldTrump, they're welcome back in America. Insane regulation by Dems: require licenses, refuse to give them out. They literally couldn't operate in America. teapawt.net/SBF_FTX/status/2017034… Under President Trump, that's changed. The DOJ is no longer indicting entire industries. For years, all the liquid prediction markets were offshore because of this; now they're opening up to Americans. Same with crypto. Dems increased corporate taxes, moving companies offshore, and created loopholes so companies kept all their money offshore, too. President Trump expanded business tax breaks, pulling investment back to the U.S.

3) Biden bungled crypto. He didn't have to—plenty in the party had reasonable thoughts! But he chose Gensler for SEC chair.

Hey everyone, Building Picksy. Noticed randomizers haven’t been taken too seriously, when sometimes there can be a lot at stake. No need to choose between looking good, and feeling confident about results. Any feedback is appreciated! picksy.live

The Harsh Reality of Vibe Coding: 1/9 vibecoding looks insane from the outside. chat with AI, describe your idea, watch a full app appear. people think it’s one prompt and done. perfect code, no bugs, magic. reality hits different.

Picksy Proof: How we ensure every spin, flip, and pick is cryptographically fair and auditable. This should be a bare minimum requirement in all giveaways that hold any type of stake. Truly random results, with picksy proof logs.

Everything, including, AI was created or influenced by humans. If you ever you think something is out of reach, you’re wrong.

“I need this to be implemented into our current codebase” “Plan to have these files handed over to an agent in charge of the origin files, and ensure that the agent treats the new files as a template/guide rather than a blind merge. Agent will need to adjust where needed so that any affected files will not be broken due to the presence of what will be added.”
