Thanks @realpepito, @BitcoinReadyMe, @DimitreDT, @HOSS_ibc, @TrendScalezz and @CryptoGrit.
We covered a lot more than the headline rule. Well worth a listen.

This is close to home for us.
FBYT's on-chain vaults use Pyth’s infrastructure for pricing crypto and tokenized assets.
FBYT managers and investors build portfolios, execute trades with tight spreads and grow profits.
Underneath all of that, the data has to be reliable.
And Pyth delivers that data reliability.
8/13
Take Pyth Pro as an example:
$100 in revenue
→ $60 to the DAO
→ $40 to Douro Labs
The DAO’s $60 goes toward PYTH accumulation.
Cash receipts are converted into PYTH. Receipts already paid in PYTH go straight into the Reserve.
That’s the link to product revenue.
7/13
So, what is the 100% Rule?
Under OP-PIP-136, the DAO commits all funds it receives from Pyth products to accumulating solana:HZ1JovNiVvGrGNiiYvEozEVgZ58xaU3RKwX8eACQBCt3 in its Reserve.
The important detail: “100%” refers to the DAO’s share, after the relevant revenue splits.
6/13
There’s a paying business behind this.
Pyth reported $11.5M in annual recurring revenue for September, up from $10.4M in August.
That’s an annualized subscription run rate.
Its Data Marketplace also gained approval to distribute Nasdaq Basic.
More than crypto feeds.
5/13
Then there’s the weekend problem.
You can build a market that trades around the clock. But what price should it use when the stock’s main exchange is closed?
That’s why we spent time on continuous pricing and indices.
Putting a ticker onchain is only part of the job.
4/13
One surprising thing Pierre shared:
-> He estimated around 80% of current revenue comes from offchain customers.
Exchanges and trading firms can pay for data through an API without using a blockchain.
A DeFi TVL chart won’t show you that part of the business.
2/13
First, what does Pyth actually do?
A blockchain doesn’t automatically know what BTC, Apple or gold are worth.
Oracles bring that information into applications.
Get the price wrong or update it too late, and trades, collateral values and liquidations can go wrong.
Everyone talks about bringing stocks onchain.
Much less gets said about who supplies reliable prices for the onchain economy.
We had @realpepito from @PythNetwork on Beating Yesterday #08 to talk data, revenue and the 100% Rule.
A few things that stood out 👇
