Vivid Electromech – H1 FY27 Concall and Update 🔥📈📊 1. Management guidance and growth outlook 🔹 Management reiterated its earlier guidance of 35–40% year-on-year growth, stating that the company was on track to achieve or potentially exceed the target. 🔹 Management expects H2 margins to remain comparable with the previous year, supported by higher revenue and operating leverage. It noted that H2 revenue is generally around twice H1 revenue. 🔹 Management indicated that order bookings could accelerate from January onwards as it prioritises execution of existing orders and shorter delivery-cycle projects. 🔹 The new Ambernath facility is expected to support the next phase of growth, although utilisation will take time to ramp up. 2. H1 FY27 financial performance The company delivered growth across revenue, EBITDA and profit after tax. ▪️ Revenue from operations: ₹91.53 crore, up 29.7% YoY, versus ₹70.57 crore. ▪️ EBITDA: ₹19 crore, up 37.5% YoY, versus ₹13.82 crore. ▪️ EBITDA margin: 20.62%, compared with 19.49% in H1 FY26. ▪️ Profit after tax: ₹13.08 crore, up 38.5% YoY, versus ₹9.44 crore. ▪️ PAT margin: 14.29%, compared with 13.38% in H1 FY26. ▪️ Gross margin improved by 123 basis points to 37.61%, while EBITDA margin expanded by 113 basis points. The growth in EBITDA and PAT outpaced revenue growth, indicating improved profitability during the period. 3. Data centres are becoming the primary growth engine 🔹 Data centres contributed approximately 51.7% of H1 FY27 revenue, making them the company's largest end-market. 🔹 Other revenue contributions included infrastructure, construction and real estate at 23.8%; industrial manufacturing at 17.4%; and solar at 7%. 🔹 Key data-centre relationships - STT Global Data Centres, CtrlS Data Centers and Pune Data Center. 🔹 The company is benefiting from demand associated with cloud computing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure. 🔹 Its broader customer base also includes infrastructure, metro rail, industrial and renewable-energy businesses, providing exposure beyond data centres. 4. Order book and revenue visibility As of October 26, 2026: ▪️ Executable order book stood at approximately ₹307 crore, equivalent to around 1.5 times FY26 revenue of ₹200 crore. ▪️ Export orders accounted for approximately ₹66 crore, or 21.5% of the order book. ▪️ Data centre and technology orders contributed approximately ₹115.1 crore. ▪️ Infrastructure, construction and real estate contributed ₹106.8 crore, while solar and renewable energy contributed ₹60.3 crore. ▪️ The typical order-to-delivery cycle is 2–9 months, depending on the project. ▪️ Approximately 89% of revenue was attributed to existing customers and 11% to new customers. 📌 Management is deliberately avoiding certain large, long-duration data-centre projects involving complete skid solutions and transformer packages, which can carry 1–2-year delivery timelines and greater price volatility. The focus remains on LV panels and PDUs with shorter delivery cycles, generally not exceeding six months. This approach may affect headline order-book growth, but it is intended to maintain execution discipline and reduce exposure to long-duration pricing risks. 5. Capacity expansion – Ambernath facility The new automated manufacturing facility at Ambernath, Maharashtra, is a key part of the company's expansion strategy. 🔹 The facility is being developed on approximately 119,800 sq. ft. of land area. 🔹 Phase I was at the equipment-installation and operational-readiness assessment stage as of October 26, 2026. 🔹 Commercial operations were targeted for the end of November 2026, subject to statutory approvals, including the MPCB Consent to Operate and Fire NOC. 🔹 The new annual capacity of 14,300 LV modules and 700 MV modules following completion of Phase I. 🔹 Management separately indicated during the Q&A that the initial Phase I ramp-up would add roughly 5,000 modules, with the full expansion intended to add approximately 15,000 modules annually. 🔹 Existing installed capacity is 7,500 modules per year. The full expansion would therefore take targeted installed capacity to approximately 22,500 modules annually. 🔹 Management expects the facility to require around 12–18 months to reach full utilisation. 🔹 Approximately ₹34 crore had been spent on the facility by H1 FY27. The facility will feature automated and robotic fabrication, pre-treatment and powder-coating lines, alongside in-house testing facilities, including 1,000 kW load testing and 6,300A TTR testing. 📌 Investors should track commissioning, actual dispatches, utilisation and the pace at which the incremental capacity translates into revenue. 6. Product strategy and higher-value offerings 🔹 The company manufactures low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) electrical panels, automation systems and power-distribution solutions. 🔹 LV and MV panels accounted for approximately 98% of H1 FY27 sales. 🔹 The company has introduced 800V LV panels, type-tested at CPRI, Bhopal, in accordance with IEC 61439. 🔹 Its portfolio includes PCC and MCC panels, VFD panels, PLC automation systems, VCB panels, RMUs, APFC panels and data-centre PDUs. 🔹 The company is increasing its focus on proprietary VSET products and PDUs rather than relying entirely on OEM-tied panel solutions. Management indicated that the share of ABB-branded R2K panels has declined as customers increasingly purchase its own-designed products. 🔹 Its switchgear-agnostic designs allow it to work with components from ABB, Siemens and Schneider, potentially improving sourcing flexibility and negotiating leverage. 🔹 The company also acquired a 99% partnership interest in MechTech Infrasolutions, described in the concall summary as a Siemens licence partner for CPAN 8PU low-voltage switchboards. The acquisition is intended to broaden its product capabilities and strengthen its industrial electrical and automation offering. 7. Export business is scaling up Exports are showing a meaningful increase from a relatively small base. ▪️ Export revenue reached approximately ₹8.1 crore in H1 FY27, compared with ₹2.5 crore for the entirety of FY26. ▪️ Exports accounted for around 8.8% of H1 FY27 sales, versus 1.3% in FY26. ▪️ Markets cited include Tanzania, Kenya, Mali, Burkina Faso and Ghana. ▪️ Management stated that export transactions generally involve a minimum 10% advance, with the balance 90% covered through letters of credit, typically with 60-day or 90-day terms. The growing export contribution is worth monitoring, particularly for repeat orders, collection discipline and whether international revenue can continue to scale. 8. Manufacturing utilisation and operating footprint The existing manufacturing facilities are located in Navi Mumbai and Pune. 🔹 Navi Mumbai facility: 21,500 sq. ft., with reported capacity utilisation of 94.36%. 🔹 Pune facility: 12,500 sq. ft., with reported capacity utilisation of 70%. 🔹 The two existing facilities together cover more than 34,000 sq. ft., with installed capacity of 7,500 modules. 🔹 H1 FY27 production was concentrated in Navi Mumbai, which accounted for approximately 91% of output, while Pune contributed 9%. The high utilisation at Navi Mumbai supports the rationale for expansion, while the new facility should provide additional headroom for larger and more complex orders. 9. Balance sheet and capital allocation The fresh equity raised during H1 FY27 strengthened the company's capital structure. ▪️ Net worth increased from ₹59.33 crore at March 2026 to ₹165.65 crore at September 2026. ▪️ Net debt of ₹31.04 crore at March 2026 moved to net cash of ₹1.15 crore at September 2026, according to the investor presentation. ▪️ Debt-to-equity declined from 0.56x to 0.15x. ▪️ Cash and bank balances increased from ₹2.27 crore to ₹25.41 crore. ▪️ Fixed assets, including capital work-in-progress, rose from ₹57.27 crore to ₹90.48 crore, including ₹33.68 crore of CWIP. ▪️ H1 FY27 capital expenditure was approximately ₹34.08 crore, primarily towards capacity expansion. 📌 The equity raise and debt reduction provide greater financial flexibility to fund the expansion, although working-capital requirements remain important. 10. Cash flow and working capital – key monitorables Despite strong reported profitability, cash conversion remains an important area to watch. 🔹 Operating cash flow was negative ₹55.49 crore in H1 FY27. 🔹 Inventory increased from ₹6.66 crore at March 2026 to ₹17.29 crore at September 2026, partly reflecting procurement ahead of scheduled project execution and dispatches. 🔹 Trade receivables stood at ₹119.75 crore, compared with ₹116.50 crore at March 2026. 🔹 Short-term borrowings increased to ₹22.51 crore, even as long-term borrowings reduced. 📌 Management attributed the cash-flow pressure to working-capital movements, advances, supplier payments, taxes and funds parked in other bank balances. To improve collections, the company is working on replacing certain customer retention amounts with performance bank guarantees and negotiating improved payment terms, including LC-backed payments covering up to 90% of the order value. Management stated that it did not anticipate cash-flow issues over the next 18 months, citing available deposits, bank limits and improved payment arrangements. This remains a management assessment and should be tracked against actual cash conversion. 11. Customer concentration and other risks ▪️ The data-centre segment contributed more than half of H1 FY27 revenue. ▪️ Maharashtra accounted for approximately 77% of revenue, as discussed in the concall summary, indicating geographic concentration. ▪️ Timely commissioning of the Ambernath facility depends on statutory approvals. ▪️ The planned capacity addition will require a gradual ramp-up before full operating leverage is realised. ▪️ Negative operating cash flow, elevated receivables and higher inventory require close monitoring. ▪️ Execution discipline, pricing on longer-duration projects and the ability to convert the order book into cash are important alongside reported profit growth. Overall view Vivid Electromech's key investment themes are its exposure to data-centre infrastructure, strong H1 FY27 growth, improving margins, a growing export business, a ₹307 crore executable order book and a planned increase in manufacturing capacity. The next key developments to track are the commissioning and ramp-up of Ambernath, execution of the existing order book, achievement of management's 35–40% growth guidance, the shift towards proprietary products and improvement in operating cash flow. YASH HIGHVOLTAGE ⚡ H1 FY27 CONCALL – 4-5 MIN READ POST 1. Revenue potential, expansion targets and future outlook ▪️ Long-term revenue potential: The combined potential of Unit 1 and Unit 2 is approximately ₹900–1,000 Cr annually, with full utilisation targeted by FY30–31. ▪️ Localised 245 kV bushings: Commercial production is expected in Q4 FY27, subject to successful testing and customer approvals. ▪️ 420 kV and 550 kV localisation: The company is targeting these higher-voltage capabilities around Q4 FY28 or mid-2028, subject to qualification and validation requirements. ▪️ Brownfield expansion: The Halol expansion is expected to be completed by the end of Q3 FY27, with additional capacity becoming available in Q4 FY27. ▪️ Export growth: RIP export order booking is expected to begin around the middle of next year. A more meaningful change in product and export mix is expected during FY28–FY29. ▪️ Global market share: Yash currently accounts for approximately 1–1.2% of global market demand and aims to increase its share to at least 5% over the next 4–5 years. The company also intends to maintain its leading position in India. ▪️ Margin outlook: The focus is on maintaining or improving margins rather than committing to an aggressive future margin target. Higher depreciation in H2 FY27 is expected as new facilities and assets come into operation, but the company aims to maintain profitability levels comparable to FY26. ▪️ Near-term priorities: Commissioning end-to-end RIP/RIS bushing manufacturing, ramping up higher-voltage assembly at Jarod, strengthening domestic and overseas customer relationships, and expanding the US presence are key priorities for H2 FY27. 2. Product mix and shift towards higher-value bushings ▪️ RIP bushings accounted for approximately 86% of H1 FY27 revenue by value, while OIP and high-current bushings together contributed around 14%. ▪️ Total bushing shipments were approximately 4,000 units in H1 FY27, compared with 2,950 units in H1 FY26, representing volume growth of around 40%. ▪️ The volume increase was broad-based across product categories. A detailed voltage-class-wise or product-wise shipment breakdown was not disclosed. ▪️ Domestic sales accounted for approximately 95% of H1 FY27 sales, while exports contributed around 5%. ▪️ Within domestic sales, the contribution from retrofit and services increased from 4% to 8% year-on-year. ▪️ The increasing contribution of RIP bushings reflects the company’s focus on technically demanding products and higher-voltage applications. 3. Localisation and technical qualification milestones One of the most important developments is the progress towards manufacturing critical bushing components locally instead of depending entirely on imported cores. ▪️ Trial runs for localised RIP bushings have been encouraging. The next step is external type testing and final validation, which the company expected to initiate within the next couple of weeks from the date of the call. ▪️ Customer approval involves separate processes for the manufacturing plant, the product and, in some cases, the localised core itself. Approval for the existing facility does not automatically qualify the new facility or locally manufactured core. ▪️ Most customer documentation for new-unit approvals has already been submitted, with the company working towards progressing plant and product approvals around Q3. ▪️ Localisation could reduce exposure to imported components, freight and import duties. However, the actual margin benefit will depend on customer pricing, competitive conditions and the cost structure after localisation. ▪️ The company intends to complete the qualification process before supplying localised cores commercially. This is important because reliability and product validation are critical in high-voltage applications. ▪️ A 245 kV wall-through transformer bushing has been tested in-house and supplied to a leading public-sector undertaking. ▪️ The company is also progressing towards localised 420 kV and 550 kV capabilities, with testing and customer qualification remaining important milestones. 4. US expansion and export opportunities ▪️ Yash Highvoltage USA has signed representation agreements with Ensales Electrical Associates, Gateway Power Sales and EHV Solutions LLC. ▪️ These agreements provide coverage across close to 27 US states, supporting access to utilities, transformer OEMs and end customers. ▪️ The objective is to build long-term customer approvals and vendor relationships rather than depend only on temporary demand-supply shortages in the US market. ▪️ The company has agents in close to 30 countries, indicating that its international expansion is not restricted to the US. ▪️ Yash has successfully completed seismic qualification tests for IEEE-compliant 138 kV and 230 kV OIP condenser transformer bushings. These qualifications strengthen its ability to address North and South American markets. ▪️ The export order book was discussed at approximately ₹40–50 Cr, representing roughly 5–7% of the total order book. ▪️ RIP exports have not yet started at scale. Export order booking is expected around the middle of next year, with a more meaningful contribution to the business mix anticipated in FY28–FY29. ▪️ The strategy is to build a balanced domestic and export business, with exports offering an opportunity for market diversification and potentially better realisations. 5. Industry demand and long-term growth drivers The long-term opportunity is linked to investment in power transmission and distribution infrastructure, where reliable, technically qualified components are essential. ▪️ Grid modernisation: Utilities are upgrading transmission networks and replacing ageing infrastructure to improve reliability. ▪️ Renewable energy integration: Increasing renewable capacity requires stronger transmission networks and dependable grid infrastructure. ▪️ Rising electricity consumption: Growing power demand from industrial electrification, data centres and digital infrastructure is supporting the need for reliable electrical networks. ▪️ Higher-voltage applications: As utilities and transformer manufacturers move towards higher-capacity and higher-voltage equipment, qualification and product reliability become increasingly important. ▪️ Technical entry barriers: High-voltage bushings are critical safety components connecting transformers to external electrical circuits. Testing, certification and field-performance requirements create barriers for new entrants. ▪️ Global opportunity: The company’s existing domestic position, expanding international representation network and progress in higher-voltage products provide avenues to participate in this demand. 6. Capacity expansion and ₹220 Cr capex ▪️ Total planned capex for the Jarod greenfield facility is approximately ₹220 Cr. ▪️ Around ₹106 Cr had been spent as of September 30, 2026, with the balance expected to be deployed over the following 12 months. ▪️ The new facility is already being used for assembly and testing activities, helping relieve bottlenecks at the existing Halol facility. Assembly-model invoicing has started, and some orders are being shifted from the existing order book. ▪️ The existing Halol facility is operating at approximately 90% utilisation and running three shifts. ▪️ The new facility is designed to support the complete RIP bushing range, from 24 kV to 550 kV, along with assembly-model manufacturing. ▪️ The Halol brownfield expansion is expected to finish by the end of Q3 FY27, with additional capacity becoming available in Q4 FY27. ▪️ The ₹220 Cr capex programme is expected to be sufficient to support the targeted ₹900–1,000 Cr annual revenue potential. Any additional investment requirements are expected to be relatively small and could potentially be funded through internal accruals. 7. Order book and execution visibility ▪️ The order book stood at approximately ₹760 Cr as of September 30, 2026, compared with ₹400 Cr at the beginning of FY27. ▪️ The order book is expected to be executed over approximately 15–18 months, although the Q&A discussion also referred to an 18–20-month execution window. ▪️ Order inflows have exceeded the company’s original expectations. Demand is coming from a broad range of domestic and international customers. ▪️ The initial FY27 order intake target discussed during the call was ₹500 Cr-plus. However, no revised formal order intake target was provided. ▪️ The focus is on converting the order book into timely deliveries while continuing to secure new orders. ▪️ The company is attempting to improve invoicing linearity throughout the year. H2 is still expected to be somewhat stronger, but the aim is to avoid the significant second-half concentration seen historically. ▪️ Current US customer orders have lead times of approximately 6–12 months, with some extending towards 15 months. The capacity expansion should help improve the company’s ability to service demand. 8. Margins, pricing and competitive landscape ▪️ Product mix, operating leverage, vendor terms, overhead absorption and manufacturing efficiency are important drivers of margins. ▪️ Localisation may provide cost advantages through reduced import duty and freight, but the benefit will not automatically translate into a proportional margin increase. Competitive pricing and customer relationships remain important considerations. ▪️ The company aims to maintain or modestly improve margins over time but has not provided a specific future-year margin target. ▪️ The current order book has a margin profile broadly comparable to FY26, while tendering conditions for FY29–FY30 are also being described as stable. ▪️ Management views the next 2–4 years as potentially favourable for specialised component manufacturers, citing continued investment by transformer manufacturers and the entry barriers associated with bushings. ▪️ It also believes that a severe price war is not inevitable over the next 5–6 years. This remains the company’s industry outlook rather than a guaranteed outcome. ▪️ Most contracts contain the industry-standard IEEMA price-variation clause, which helps address raw-material price volatility. ▪️ The company has not reported significant near-term supply-chain disruptions affecting invoicing. ▪️ No data-centre order cancellations attributable to negative sentiment around AI had been reported to the company at the time of the call. 9. Working capital, funding and internal systems ▪️ The cash conversion cycle improved to 63 days as of September 30, 2026, compared with 81 days for FY26. ▪️ Receivable days were approximately 47 days in H1 FY27, broadly unchanged from H1 FY26. The FY26 full-year figure was approximately 45 days. ▪️ Vendor advances have increased in certain areas because the company needs to secure production slots with international core suppliers. ▪️ Net cash stood at approximately ₹95 Cr as of September 30, 2026. ▪️ The company completed a preferential allotment of equity shares and warrants amounting to approximately ₹151 Cr. Around ₹106 Cr had been received, comprising ₹90.99 Cr from the equity issue and ₹15 Cr as upfront payment against warrants. The balance is payable upon warrant conversion or exercise within 18 months. ▪️ The company has completed its global migration to SAP S/4HANA, intended to improve process visibility, coordination and operational control. ▪️ The Sukrut joint venture, taken over in December 2025, was brought back to profitability within approximately nine months, according to the company. 10. Key risks and monitorables ▪️ Execution: Timely delivery of the ₹760 Cr order book and successful ramp-up of the new facility will be important. ▪️ Customer approvals: Localised cores and the new manufacturing facility must complete the necessary testing and qualification processes before the full benefits of localisation can be realised. ▪️ Capacity ramp-up: The timing of the Halol expansion and the ramp-up of Jarod operations will influence near-term execution. ▪️ Margin sustainability: Import-cost savings, product mix and pricing discipline will determine how much benefit localisation delivers. ▪️ Export conversion: US representation agreements and global agent relationships need to translate into durable customer approvals and repeat business. ▪️ Competition: New entrants and additional industry capacity could eventually put pressure on pricing, even though current demand conditions appear supportive. ▪️ High-voltage localisation: Progress towards 420 kV and 550 kV capabilities, including testing and customer qualification, remains an important milestone. Overall takeaway Yash Highvoltage is working on three important growth levers: moving towards higher-value RIP products, localising critical manufacturing processes and deepening its presence in international markets. The ₹760 Cr order book, ongoing capex and higher-voltage qualification pipeline provide visibility, while the targeted ₹900–1,000 Cr annual revenue potential by FY30–31 represents the company’s longer-term ambition. The key monitorables are execution of the existing order book, commissioning and utilisation of new capacity, successful localisation, customer approvals and the conversion of international relationships into sustained export orders. Who are its customers and what is its competitive advantage? ▪️ Annual Reports — Go through the business overview, management discussion, risks, subsidiaries, related-party transactions and future plans. ▪️ Quarterly Results — Track revenue growth, margins, order book, capacity utilisation, working capital and other operating metrics. ▪️ Concall / Investor Presentations — This is where management commentary becomes extremely important. Track guidance, expansion plans, new customers, order wins, capex and upcoming projects. ▪️ Balance Sheet — Always check debt, cash, receivables, inventory, working capital and whether the balance sheet is getting stronger or weaker. ▪️ Cash Flow — Profit on the P&L is not enough. Check whether profits are actually converting into operating cash flow. ▪️ Announcements — Keep tracking every important corporate announcement, new order, customer addition, plant expansion, acquisition, partnership, regulatory update and management development. ▪️ THRP / Shareholding & Promoter Data — Track promoter holding, pledging if any, institutional participation and meaningful changes in shareholding. ▪️ Capacity & Capex — Understand how much capacity the company currently has, how much is being added and whether the expected demand justifies the expansion. ▪️ Order Book — For companies where order book matters, track its size, order inflow, execution timeline and customer concentration. ▪️ Management Quality — Promoter track record, capital allocation, governance and execution history matter a lot, especially in smaller companies. ▪️ Valuation — A great business can still be a bad investment if purchased at an unreasonable valuation. Most importantly, don't study a company only once. The real edge comes from continuously tracking what changes every quarter - whether management is delivering what it previously promised, whether growth is sustainable, whether margins are improving and whether the balance sheet is supporting that growth. FIIs deploy large amounts of capital and their buying/selling activity can influence liquidity, sentiment and stock prices. When FIIs increase their stake in a company, it can be an interesting signal to investigate further because institutional investors may have identified attractive growth prospects, improving earnings visibility, valuations or a strong business opportunity. However, FII buying alone should never be treated as a buy signal. FIIs can change their positions based on valuations, global liquidity, portfolio allocation and other factors. Recent data also shows that FII flows can change significantly from one period to another. So, use this list as a starting point for research, and study the company's fundamentals, growth, valuation, debt, cash flows, promoter holding and future triggers before taking any investment decision.
