Preparations for COP29 are continuing without interruption.
There are 13 days left until the COP29 conference, which will capture the world’s attention from November 11-22. The preparation of the venue for this major event we are hosting has taken only 9 months, and we are now ready to welcome all our distinguished guests in Baku.

Following the Global Stocktake (GST), yesterday marked the first draft of its text which will be a key facilitator for implementation action in the next round of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This is crucial to ensure global warming stays below 2 degrees celsius.

Today at #COP28, the theme is ‘Finance / Trade / Gender Equality / Accountability.’
According to the COP28 presidency (@COP28_UAE) the goal for this themed day is to create a tangible plan on action that can be taken on climate finance to close the climate finance gap.
12 hours, 6+ miles, and 3 coffees later, our COP day has ended. We typically find each other throughout the day for lunch, coffee, or just a morale boost. COP28 is an amazing learning experience and a great place to encourage our peers!
One perk of attending COP is getting to hear from high-level experts on their areas of knowledge. Today I heard from Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the Director-General of the World Health Organization as the panel discussed health adaptation and resilience. #Cop28
