This little fox is about to make U.S. medical history. 🍏🧠
This week, Apple will undergo a brain surgery that, to our knowledge, has never before been performed on a Red fox in the United States.
I genuinely cannot thank the $Apple community enough. You took the enormous burden of fundraising for this surgery off our shoulders during a time when we have so many other things requiring our attention. You have all helped make this moment possible, and your continued support trickling in has been incredibly appreciated.
There will undoubtedly be many expenses still to come as we navigate surgery, recovery, and whatever Apple needs next, but getting us to this point is an incredible gift and milestone moment.
We did it, Arctic Fox Daily fam. ❤️
There are risks. Recovery may be difficult. And, Apple’s journey is far from over… But, we’re here. This week, Apple gets brain surgery.
Thank you so much for your support, and please keep Apple, our family, and her surgeons in your thoughts and prayers.
If you’d like to hear my full story of how we got here - from the first hydrocephalic foxes I cared for as a teenager all the way to Apple making history this week - the full video is posted on our Arctic Fox Daily YouTube channel.

The announcement our new friends from the crypto world have been waiting on:
📣 Arctic Fox Daily Wildlife Rescue has officially received the funds that have been generated thus far through the Pump Fun x Donate GG collaboration.
This feels like such a surreal update to type, because this deposit of $150,000 that just hit our sanctuary’s bank account is going to be incredibly impactful for our mission.
Over the past several weeks, an orphaned Red fox I took in, named Apple, captured the attention of people far beyond our usual audience, and somehow that attention grew into support for our rescue from an entirely different corner of the internet than I ever expected.
What started with Apple’s story going viral ultimately introduced thousands of new people to Arctic Fox Daily, our mission, and the animals who call this place home. To every person who played a role in that - primarily through the lovely $Apple community, and also through other groups and communities rallying around our rescue, sharing our content, asking questions, donating directly, or simply cheering us on with encouraging words - thank you!
I would also like to thank @leap_xyz and the teams at @donatedotgg and @Pumpfun for the work that went into making this collaboration happen.
As someone who was learning the bare minimum about this world in real time, I know I probably wasn’t always the easiest beneficiary to work with - I asked a lot of questions, to say the least. So, I appreciate the patience, communication, and effort that went into getting this across the finish line! Because of it, real animals WILL directly benefit. And in addition, I genuinely believe MANY other nonprofits will benefit as well; it’s truthfully a brilliant, niche business idea, and I’m grateful that Arctic Fox Daily has been given the opportunity to be a part of it.
I also want to thank the people who chose patience, kindness, and grace throughout this process. This was a brand new collaboration with a lot of moving pieces behind the scenes, and there were plenty of questions that I didn’t always have answers to - nor can I keep up with the influx of messages the way I wish I could, especially during baby wildlife season. The people who continued to be supportive while allowing things to unfold properly have my most sincere appreciation. 🙏🏼
I want to be careful not to make promises about specific outcomes, because wildlife rescue, sadly, doesn’t work that way. Animals don’t always cooperate with our plans, every day with Apple is a gift, and treatment does not come with guarantees. But, what I CAN say is this:
Options that may have once been out of reach until a fundraiser goal was met are now on the table. 🍏🧠
If Apple’s veterinary neurology team ultimately determines that she is an appropriate candidate for neurosurgery, the conversation will not have to pause just because funding is not yet available. In a case where time matters as much as it does with these sensitive hydrocephalic patients, that is an incredible gift. Whether surgery ultimately becomes part of her story or not, knowing that financial limits no longer have to dictate that conversation is something we do not take for granted.
Beyond Apple, these funds represent opportunity! Opportunity to improve and maintain our facility, to ultimately expand what we are capable of doing, and to help animals that have not even arrived here yet. I am so excited to put that support to work!
Though I am certainly not savvy to the world of crypto logistics, I do know that those of you who participated in this did not have to purchase a meme coin that our rescue was selected to benefit from. So, to our new friends in the crypto world who did, thank you for being part of this! Thank you for taking a chance on #Applethefox and, in the process, helping our entire organization! This has been one of the most unexpected partnerships I’ve ever witnessed unfold, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here. 🫶🏼

🍏🧠🩻 This is likely the most historically significant video I’ve published on our platforms yet:
Reviewing Apple the orphaned Red fox kit’s MRI findings with veterinary neurosurgeon, Dr. Scanlon.
After you watch, I’d truly love to hear your thoughts!

🍏 Thank you for believing in #Applethefox, and thank you for believing in the bigger mission behind her.

#Applethefox has had an eventful weekend. 😅
In true “Apple gets excited and runs around occasionally bonking into things” fashion, she somehow managed to bonk herself hard enough on something to leave a tiny little mark on her head. 🤦🏼♀️
She’s completely fine and the little mark is healing well (hence the scabbing that honestly looks worse than the original little mark itself), but her ego is slightly damaged.
I told her not to worry, though, because you guys wouldn’t judge her. We all have clumsy days sometimes, right? 🤭

🍏🧠 Especially after Sharpie’s passing, Apple has become quite attached to this fox stuffed animal. She loves curling up next to it in her “den” (crate) to sleep. And what’s interesting is that, unlike the rest of her toys, she never tries to attack or destroy this one when she’s feeling extra ferocious.
I just felt like the internet needed to see this too. So… that is all the context behind these photos. 🥹
Funds for Apple’s MRI were secured through a generous anonymous matching donor last week (thank you so much to everybody who contributed!), so I am now really excited - and admittedly holding my breath at the same time - to share that Apple’s MRI is officially ON THE BOOKS! At the end of this month, we’ll be traveling to meet with our veterinary neurosurgeon again and move forward with Apple’s advanced imaging! This appointment and the confident scheduling of her MRI are diagnostics that YOU GUYS made possible through your support. 🙏🏼✨
An Apple a day…

Baby weasels develop fast once the kits start eating solids! 🥹
…Though, the first few weeks do, admittedly, drag on f o r e v e r due to how frequently they need feeds and how sensitive their GI tracts are. So milestones like this are always encouraging during rehab; it’s like I can feel myself already becoming slightly more rested. 😅
This infant long-tailed weasel may look like a forever baby because adults usually top out at under half a pound, but don’t let the painfully adorable face fool you - weasels are seriously impressive little predator animals!
They eat a huge amount for their size, provide excellent natural rodent control, and honestly, if one is hanging around your property, there’s a very good chance it’s because the rodent population is growing - or too large already - too. 😅
They are HUGELY beneficial to have around your property!
Also, for those of you who own domestic, outdoor, small prey-type mammals - ESPECIALLY during “baby season” -
if I could tell you one thing to focus on to protect your small animals and to not put our native predator species in a situation to be loathed, it would be this:
Hardware cloth > chicken wire, always, and don’t forget that predators can both fly AND dig in, too. 👏🏼

I am so happy that you guys are also obsessed with Apple. Mainly because our little Red fox hydrocephalus warrior needs all the support she can get, but also, because it means my overabundance of cute Apple videos gets to bring other people joy, too. 🍏✨

This is what happens when a community actually believes.
Finally, we reached $100,000 donated for $Apple in just 4 days 🦊🍎
Huge thanks to @donatedotgg x @pumpfun for making this possible.
This isn’t just a memecoin anymore it’s proof that charity coins can create real impact.
$Apple will lead the charity coins soon
