We've seen it repeatedly at Athlos: getting to 10K fundamentally changes how beginners see themselves as runners.
So we built a 21-day programme around getting there, with a focus on showing up and running consistently.
At @GoAthlos , we've been lucky to be an audience to runners of different competencies, especially beginners. Our key learning is that running your first 10K contributes significantly to your confidence as a beginner. Maybe one of the very few things that the #wiprobengalurumarathon people did well was race photos for the runners? I ran in @GoAthlos distance single and distance tights that were super comfortable (not a sponsored post)
Completed the #wiprobengalurumarathon half marathon today despite a IT band niggle and quad strain that’s been bothering me for a while. Jeff Galloway to the rescue!
This is my 38th half marathon and 3rd this year.
Race review:
❌ Awfully mismanaged by the organisers.
❌ Stampede like situation at Gate B at 5:45 am where 1000s of runners had to compete with regular vehicle traffic to enter a narrow Gate B. Has @bcpsouth learnt nothing from the RCB Stampede at Chinnaswamy? It was really scary today
❌ To add to the woes, there was NO WATER 💧 for many 7+ kms on the MG road metro stretch. Runners really struggled without any support. Wipro is the main sponsor and the organisers charge ₹1500+ and can’t even provide water ? Shame

We started working on jeans about a year ago and this is something I never talked about. We hadn’t done bottoms before and I did not want to launch just any jeans at @thelayerproject, it had to be the best version of jeans there could be. I talk about it today because I am convinced it infact is the best pair of jeans available in the market.
None of that stupid fluff about stretch n all. Just pure cotton jeans in Indian denim made really well. We don’t do low rise, stretchable fabric or those stupid skinny fits. These come in relaxed and straight fits and only mid rise (at navel waist).
