Yesterday, I was honored to speak at the groundbreaking of the Urbana Muslim Association (UMA) Center, celebrating the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. I was proud to join Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, Delegate Kris Fair, and Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater as we celebrated this important milestone. The UMA Center will serve as a welcoming, inclusive space and a cornerstone for the community for generations to come. Thank you to UMA President Adnan Mamoon and the entire UMA team for having me!

Great afternoon at a canvass launch in Damascus with Senator Katie Fry Hester (D9), Delegate Chao Wu (D9), Delegate Natalie Ziegler (D9), and Delegate Bernice Mireku-North (D14). Afterwards, we visited the Damascus Community Recreation Center to greet voters! I am proud to support the District 9 team and uplift democracy across Maryland🤗

Yesterday, I went to the Urbana Regional Library to get out the vote alongside incredible democratic leaders and candidates! Day 2 of early voting is underway! Today I started the morning at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, where I had the chance to connect with constituents, visit with our Democratic Party, and thank everyone at the polls who is helping make early voting a success. Every vote matters! Early voting continues through October 29, make your voice heard today!

Day 1 of early voting is in the books! I had a wonderful time at the Germantown Community Recreation Center connecting with voters and talking about the issues that matter most to our community. Batter up, Frederick is smashing it out of the park! Last week, #TeamDelaney celebrated the groundbreaking of the Washington Freedom Major League Cricket stadium in Frederick. The stadium will hold up to 10,000 people and be a pillar of our community. Congratulations to Sanjay Govil and the Washington Freedom team, we are thrilled for all that is to come!

Yesterday, I was honored to celebrate former Maryland State Senator and Frederick Mayor Ronald Young at the unveiling of his sculpture, created by nationally renowned sculptor Toby Mendez. As the sculpture says, Ron is a visionary. In 1976, when the Frederick community faced widespread flooding, then-Mayor Young developed a plan to help protect the community: Carroll Creek Linear Park. Fifty years later, the park stands not only as a safeguard against flooding but also as a cornerstone of Downtown Frederick, contributing to the beauty, vitality, and character of our community. Thank you, Ron, for your vision, leadership, and lasting impact on Frederick!

A wonderful evening with the BAPS community for the blessing and groundbreaking of its sacred grounds. The ceremony reflected the importance of preserving cultural traditions, serving others, and building connections across our communities. Thank you to the BAPS community, Archana and Dipak Thakker, Lieutenant Governor Aruna Miller, and Speaker Joseline Peña-Melnyk for making this gathering so meaningful. I’m looking forward to serving the BAPS community, and continuing to celebrate, listen to, and uplift you and all of your contributions to our district.
