Hot take: being loyal during a talking stage is UNNECESSARY and it’s taking its toll on the dating scene. Obviously lying/not being transparent to someone about sleeping with other people is WRONG. but there’s nothing wrong with being honest about dating multiple people until you’ve decided to be mutually exclusive with one. Dating/a talking stage should be about getting to know your compatibility with someone and figure out if you want long term exclusivity. That’s how dating used to be beforehand, and how many people 30+ date. They go for dinners, coffee, etc. get to know multiple people and until they have a chat about where they both stand, neither assumes the other is exclusive.
