I am deeply saddened to learn of Walter Koenig’s passing.
Although we did not know each other well away from the set, we shared the later seasons of the original Star Trek series and the six films that followed.
What I observed, and what so many fans have expressed over the years, was a man who genuinely loved the Star Trek community.
At conventions, Walter was rarely content to remain behind a signing table. He preferred to be among the people who had kept Star Trek alive for so many decades.
That kind of genuine connection is rare, and it will be remembered by everyone who came into contact with him.
My condolences to his family, his friends, and the countless fans whose lives he touched.

You cut $900 billion of Medicaid, which is healthcare for poor people, to pay for a corporate tax cut. You started a war for Israel that pushed mortgage rates past 7%, that pushed gas above $5 a gallon, that caused 10% of restaurants to close. And while you were doing that, your entire government was enriching themselves off of their position to the tune of millions of dollars, scamming crypto, scamming using their ambassadorship, scamming the government contracts to pocket millions of dollars.
And you're running against a Democrat that's talking about affordability, Israel, the oligarchy, and you're the party of little tech trillionaires, pay to play corruption, and the war which wrecked the economy. How is that going to go?
