While listening to today’s #TRIP, I was outraged to hear you say, and I quote, that “neither [Superhero and fantasy literature] are particularly liberal democratic [forms of fiction]”.
I grant that superheroes stories are pretty fascist, but fantasy is the quintessential liberal democratic genre, narrating unrelenting, Davidian struggles against dark, authoritarian forces of evil, oppression and control.
