AZDPS has received a $42,000 grant from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety to support enforcement efforts targeting illegal street and highway racing across the state. This funding will help our troopers conduct focused details aimed at identifying and stopping dangerous racing activity. Illegal street racing continues to threaten the safety of Arizona motorists. In 2025 alone, troopers issued thousands of criminal speed and reckless driving citations and impounded more than 3,000 vehicles — a clear reminder of why these efforts matter. We appreciate our strong partnership with GOHS as we work together to keep Arizona’s roads safe.
