I am the Arkansas river. I may be full, but probably not. If I am not full, you should ask for more rain. If I am full, it won't last.

Does anybody else want to do an Oklahoma geography trivia night with meteorologist? Give them some cities and have them place them on a map? – at Tulsa, OK

The venn diagram between those people and the people I will flood next is a circle.
Have you ever rented a child to gain access into OU's Meet the Sooners Day for autographs? Working on a story for August, contact me if you fit this description.
If you thought the flooding was unprecedented, wait until you read this twitter thread! #historic
So this wasn't Historic or Unprecedented. Just uncommon?
4 years ago we also had historic rains. Atoka with over 28” of rain! Hard to believe anything could match/top the last 30 days, but don’t have to go back very far Heaviest rains in 2015 were southeast. Rivers in NE Oklahoma taking more of hit this year Maps @okmesonet #okwx

Well this all makes sense now.
Replying to @okmesonet
As a follow up from this tweet from a few days ago @Skyguy5982 shared this awesome map he put together showing more of the Arkansas River watershed and the tremendous rainfall totals from late April through May 26. Just incredible! #okwx #okmesonet

Just so we all know. 100,000 cfs is still ~20x normal. Next time you think "man, that looks pretty empty"
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ David Williams says flow out of Keystone Dam will sat at 275,000 cfs through Thursday, reduced to 150,000 cfs by Saturday and 100,000 cfs by early next week. ASSUMING more rain does not cause plans to change.

Looking at the gage height for a year just really puts this into perspective.

Can we just not? I'm tired.
Unfortunately the long range forecast for the ABRFC basin is quite wet. The next seven days look especially wet in much of KS and northern OK with widespread 4+ inches of rain. Longer range outlooks to 14 days continue to show wet conditions. #okwx #OKflood

#waterintheriver happens at ~4,000 cfs. This is why I always look so empty.
I'm gonna make me one of them coral reefs and apparently shipwrecks are a good place to start. Talk to @OkAquarium,

Releases from Lake Keystone, just upstream from the city of Tulsa, will likely cause the river to reach or slightly exceed flood stage the next few days. If this occurs, it will be the highest the river has reached in Tulsa since the 1986 flood. #okwx #OKfloods

I like to think that I have infinite capacity. Just at a certain point I start getting flood-drunk and go around hugging everybody I see.
We are increasing our release from Keystone Dam from 85,000 cfs to 100,000 cfs at 4 p.m. today. Channel capacity in the #arkansasriver is 105,000 to 110,000. Lake crest is 748.25 around midnight tonight. #keystone #Dam
