🎮 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 Romain Toutain, the franchise technical director, described the system while commenting on the leaked internal trailer on Twitch. He said every choice from the original trilogy was taken into account, and one reason for the name Mass Effect Universe was that players could plug their saves together to create parallel universes. He called the explanation simplified, and said players could almost generate timelines, similar to Zero Time Dilemma. Everything was stateful, and BioWare built a system that paused the game to solve logical equations about game state and choice consequences. If a player killed a character needed for a mission, the game could make the mission completable, fail it, or prevent a bound event to keep a path open. The goal was "absolute autonomy." ⚡️#GamersShack #masseffect

🎮 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗜𝗣𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 On an October 21 Instagram Live, Jennifer Hale and Mark Meer, who voiced the female and male Commanders Shepard in 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁, addressed fans after the studio's shutdown. Hale said 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗲 "was in the hands of ownership that may not have understood what BioWare fully is," and hoped new owners might release the IPs to market. She also floated a community Kickstarter to "raise the money, take it over, and do it ourselves." Meer called the closure "a massive loss for Edmonton, for Canada, and for the video game industry," and said they will still celebrate N7 Day this year and next year's 20th anniversary of Mass Effect 1. ⚡️#GamersShack #masseffect
