Congratulations to @NationalParkC on the grand opening of NPC Metalworks, a new 16,000-square-foot facility that expands the college’s capacity to provide welding and metalworking training through both credit and non-credit programs.

Facilities like NPC Metalworks help community colleges respond directly to workforce needs by creating more opportunities for students to develop in-demand skills while giving regional employers access to a stronger pipeline of trained talent.
The NPC Metalworks facility also demonstrates what is possible when higher ed, state partners, philanthropy, and local communities invest in Arkansas’s workforce. The project was supported by a $6 million @AR_Commerce HIRED grant plus foundation and community donor contributions.

In Richmond Fed's 2025 Survey of Community College Outcomes, Arkansas ranked #1 in short-term certificate completion rates among participating states. This matters because many cc students are not following a traditional 4 year path, but a career.
