“I’ve created this thing that no one wants, and they don’t want to give me control of the things that they want to keep for themselves, and it’s actually terrible” Fuck this guy.
Sam Altman says its bad that everyone's personal computers are using the world's limited supply of memory chips. "It’s quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAMs sitting in their own computer, and being used 5% of the time. Like, you want maximum utilization."

SSD’s are insanely fucking expensive, memory cards are insanely fucking expensive and so is RAM - All things I need to be able to do my job, and this BILLIONAIRE is complaining that life’s tough cause people have laptops - fuck Aaaaaaaaaall the way off. I hope AI dies.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says it’s “quite terrible” that people have so much DRAM sitting in their own PCs instead of being used in data centers. “Everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer. And be used 5% of the time,” He argues that cloud data centers should make better use of limited memory supplies instead of people running AI models locally.

Hey, someone remind me, what would methane regulation and data centres popping up have to do with each other?

This is craaaaaaaaaaazy. Trump is actually gonna sell the US out to Putin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin says the world should consider ending ongoing conflicts and lifting sanctions. He also said Russia is open to cooperation in the gas sector and is exploring possible projects with US partners, including in the Arctic, without naming specifics.

This is bleak. As a non-parent, I never judge parents unless there's a case of abuse or a clear case of really bad parenting. I've come to appreciate how difficult it is to be a parent and how parents sometimes have to make compromises to care for their kids that don't always meet the standards they've set for themselves or that, if shared publicly, might require a great deal of vulnerability. But if your daughter's teacher asks you to name three things that make your own child special, and you turn to an AI assistant for the answer, I'm going to judge you as a parent. There's a difference between using AI to help organize things, or even clean up something you've already written about your child, and relying on AI to answer a deeply personal question about what makes your child special. Maybe Marissa Mayer already knew all three things about her daughter. That's not the point. The point is that she was asked to identify what makes her daughter special, and she outsourced the answer to AI. And what makes this even more absurd is that the assistant came back with three of the most generic descriptions imaginable: empathetic, creative, and an animal lover. Those are lovely qualities, but they could describe millions of children. And if you think this is a story that reflects well on you as a parent, let alone one worth proudly sharing with the world, you are clearly untethered from reality.

To those who seek to create positive change in Cuba - now is the time. The disappointment of failed promises, corruption, and the privileged lives of only a few; seize this opportunity to create the change you desire through a discrete partnership with the CIA.

Matthew Cole 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼 Great Journalism
The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

Nvm, just one appearance on Sean Hannity 🤣
BREAKING: White House press secretary Katie Zacharia is "transitioning out" of her role, a senior White House official tells @pdoocy . President Trump denies firing her, telling reporters, "No no. I want her to have a good life… she’s been brutalized by the media." Trump says he encouraged Zacharia to reconsider staying in the job just minutes before speaking to reporters, telling her, "You don't have to do this if you don't want to." @AmericaRpts

I’ve never done the whole betting on things-thing…But there has to be a polymarket thing on how long she’s gonna last, right? I give her another 3 weeks, or 1 bad briefing.
holy shit, now a stammering Zacharia is struggling through a puff interview with Hannity. Even Hannity is clearly not impressed
