Ultimately this is a losing battle for California. Federal law REQUIRES states to keep the rolls clean AND provide the Attorney General of the United States voter rolls upon request. Time is not on California's side
BREAKING: The 9th Circuit rules 2-1 to dismiss DOJ's effort to force California to remove 20,000 purported noncitizens from the voter rolls based on data CA officials view as faulty.
Majority:
Bennett (Trump)
Sanchez (Biden)
Minority:
Bumatay (Trump)

There has been extensive commentary about it, particularly how Mogg mogged Tucker down to the floor.
But there are other insights which a lot of people have missed, that I wanted to share.

At 6:50 pm today on the @RodandGregShow on @1059KNRS - We'll listen back to this week's interview with @judgeglock of the @ManhattanInst about his @CityJournal piece on the accomplishments of @DOGE.
DOGE worked.
@elonmusk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) cut more than 43,000 general administration, management, and “program analysis” positions—the sorts of middle-management jobs that previous government-slimming efforts have targeted.
Other positions that saw large cutbacks included general attorneys, HR officials, clerks, and general business managers, each losing roughly 7,000 workers.
DOGE also made smaller cutbacks across hundreds of types of federal positions, adding up to significant numbers. The government has eliminated 1,000 or more positions among public-affairs specialists, logistics managers, financial administrators, accountants, budget analysts, social-science analysts, and grants managers. It also lost about 100 interior designers and creative-arts therapists.

A lot of terrible takes about what just happened in the BC provincial election.
Lorne Doerkson and his team ran an almost flawless campaign, articulated a compelling vision for the province, and did so WITHOUT abandoning key conservative priorities or principles, including DRIPA, SOGI and ending safe supply.
Those trying to use this victory to argue the federal Conservative Party needs to abandon its conservative principles in order to win an election are doing so either disingenuously or ignorantly.
Conservatism, thoughtfully communicated, is inherently and increasingly popular in all regions of Canada – and with many demographic groups.

DeSantis is 💯% correct!
EVERYONE should vote 🗳 YES on Amendment 3!
PRESSING FOR PASSAGE: DeSantis makes the case for Amendment 3 as early voting continues and Election Day is just 8 days away.
@GovRonDeSantis: "There is no new tax. No tax increase. It’s purely more constitutional protection for your homestead."
Remaining revenue locked for police, fire, and water only. Needs 60% to pass.

David Eby was the last remaining anti-oil Premier in Canada.
Now every Premier across Canada supports the oil and gas industry and supports building pipelines.
The Trudeau-Guilbeault climate agenda was finally put down on Saturday night.

Following their historic landslide victory, the BC Conservatives have secured a majority government. Yet beyond the legislature, the NDP continue to control nearly every public body, from ICBC to BC Ferries, filling key positions with their own appointees.
Without holding government, the NDP still command the state apparatus. They have never been the province's 'natural governing party', but if allowed to maintain their institutional footprint, they will come to be seen as the norm rather than the exception.
If the @Conservative_BC intend to undo the last decade, they must purge these partisans, shrink the government payroll, and reform the public sector. Policy is essential, but political power is decisive, and without broader institutional control, the new government will be left managing a hostile bureaucracy.

UNDERCOVER: GAVIN NEWSOM SAYS THE DSA IS "GOING TO BE DOMINANT" AND "MAINSTREAM" IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!
"The DSA, the energy and the desire and demand for bold change, not incremental change, is very much going to be dominant. I mean, that's going to be a mainstream Democratic movement. Absolutely. No question about that."
That's California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a likely 2028 presidential candidate, speaking to an undercover journalist while campaigning in New Hampshire.
Asked by a "younger voter" who said "we don't want Kamala Harris, we want more democratic socialist policies":
"No one is arguing to manage the status quo and fail more efficiently."
"You can't play in the margins anymore. The system's broken. It's completely unbalanced, and we can't manage the decline. We have to completely reimagine."

Lifelong moderate liberal here.
With Democrats nominating radicals like Abdul El-Sayed, and Democratic Party leaders cheering him on, I think this is the year where it makes sense for all common-sense, moderate, reasonable Democrats like myself to vote straight ticket GOP
