Are all black people the same? Jamaican, Ghanaian, Somalian, Kenyan?
Aren’t all cultures different and unique?
Seems a bit strange to hold an event based solely on celebrating skin colour? Lumping anyone who happens to have been born with black skin into one big group?
How would people respond to a “White in the park” event, do you think?
I’d imagine they would justifiably think it was divisive and discriminatory.
Identity politics is mind poison. It’s segregationist and racist and has no place in modern Britain.
Treating ALL black people like they need some sort of special day is patronising and thoughtless.
We are all British, regardless of skin colour and we celebrate our rich and shared culture every single day. That’s the most important thing.
Stop dividing people down ethnic and sexual lines. It’s vile.
