THE DARK TRUTH OF FIGHTING FOR JUSTICE FOR WRONGED MEN
Though it's been 14 years of working on men's issues, the struggles, the challenges, the sheer disappointments on a lot of days for me are as if I started yesterday!
One of those days :)
We are putting all our energies right now towards second edition of THE EKAM NYAAY CONFERENCE - a legal seminar, workshop, award event to have balanced discussions around gender specific Legislations and bring together a community of men and their families who fight false accusations
It has been ONE MONTH of trying but we have ZERO Sponsors :) :)
In last one year, we have done three events. These events have had extraordinary speakers, fantastic audience, brilliant media coverage, viral reels BUT no sponsors 😑
Over the years, I have had the privilege of meeting people at the highest levels of institutions, organisations, brands, companies, startups who have acknowledged the importance of the work we do.
On social media, I am followed by thousands of people who are at top ranks in their domains. People who appreciate the effort, the courage, and the larger purpose behind our work.
I assume they know why our work matters, they understand why these conversations matter and hence the acknowledgement.
And yet, when I ask these people to have their brand or organisation associate with our events, the answer is always an indirect NO !
I understand that organisations have their own considerations. Every association comes with decisions, responsibilities, and perceptions to weigh but how will society change when even those who want a change are afraid of being even seen wanting it ?
This isn't really about money.
Thankfully there there thousands of individuals because of whom my organization is breathing for last 2 years and I pray it continues to do so but it sometimes feels so weird..
I ofcourse will never stop until it becomes difficult to sustain or put together such events but I hope that someday, we become a society where supporting a meaningful cause is not seen as a reputational risk, but as a responsibility.
I hope someday we have brands who are fearless to say - True Equality means standing up for wronged men too !!!

Perhaps it is time to also talk about balance, where every genuine victim has a voice and every citizen has access to a fair process.

I appeal to doctors across India:- if a judge comes to your clinic for treatment, give them the next appointment one year later and tell them to leave with their NEXT DATE.
And I urge people from every profession to join this campaign in their own way. Give judges the next date and turn them away. Let them experience the same medicine they prescribe to others.

National Commission for Men is just a lollipop by BJP.
We want a bill in Parliament to make domestic violence act gender neutral so that male victims can also seek protection.
It is a simple demand. Men get protection from domestic violence all over the world. Why India is denying it?
Men deserve their concerns to be heard and their grievances addressed - India needs a National Commission for Men. When the next Parliament session begins, I will make sure this issue is raised and discussed in Parliament.

PARENTS या WIFE? COURT ने माना CRUELTY
Wife के रोज़ के झगड़े, husband को parents से अलग करने का pressure, salary parents को देने पर objection और बाद में लगाए गए unproved extra-marital affair allegations.
Delhi High Court ने माना कि ऐसा continuous conduct matrimonial cruelty बन सकता है और husband के favour में divorce को uphold किया.
Cruelty सिर्फ मारपीट नहीं होती. लगातार mental harassment भी शादी को तोड़ने के लिए काफी हो सकता है.
हर husband को अपने legal rights पता होने चाहिए.

The judicial system want to stop husbands from collecting evidence against wives’ adultery and maintenance claims too?
The Supreme Court has called for regulation of private investigators and detectives, particularly as their services are increasingly used to collect evidence in matrimonial disputes.
A husband produces 92 videos and 237 photographs allegedly showing his wife’s adulterous relationship, and suddenly the focus shifts to how the evidence was collected.
No, private detectives should not be regulated.
Why?
Because if adultery can disqualify a wife from maintenance, a husband must also have a apractical way to prove it.
Otherwise, how is a husband supposed to defend himself against an unjustified maintenance claim?
