Easton Cowan is taking the leap during his second year. Wrote about Cowan's emergence as an ascending star for the Maple Leafs, with an emphasis on his skating, puck-shielding, cycle work, two-man game with Nick Paul and William Nylander, and more. theleafsnation.com/news/time…

I love my city
please do not let brad bradford, a man who clearly does not love this city, or understand a single thing about what makes it so great, come in and ruin it

Darren Raddysh: Shots were 8-8 when on the ice against Connor McDavid in 8:00 at 5-on-5, Leafs outscored Oilers 2-0, one assist, two shot blocks, 21:39 ice time overall.
There are so many positives to write about, but it starts with Troy Stecher, Anthony Stolarz, Jake McCabe and Morgan Rielly for me. Auston Matthews was terrific in shared minutes against Connor McDavid. A massive W for the Leafs, 4-game streak, takeaways up at 6 am @dfotoronto
Vinni Lettieri's on the board, 7-2 with 30 seconds left. Gavin McKenna with a great assist too. What a night for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
William Nylander with a laser on the power play, great set up from Darren Raddysh (who is having a terrific night) and it's 4-1 Leafs.
I guess if anyone is going to break the Leafs' penalty kill streak, it's Leon Draisaitl. Two 'McDavid-Draisaitl have exhausted the Leafs D-zone coverage' mistakes aside, it's been the best defensive performance of the year by a mile, you live with it.
Zack MacEwen with the prototypical fourth line goal, completely rewarded for his speed and opportunism. The fourth line is fully alive, 5-1 Leafs, MacEwen is bringing so much life and energy to this team.
Troy Stecher with a massive goal, his second goal in as many games, the Leafs are FLYING out there, 3-0.
Considering the quality of opponent, the first 15 minutes were arguably the Leafs' best defensive showing of the year, and now they're under siege. Stolarz has been terrific so far.
Cowan was the positive surprise last season, and in a different way entirely, he's easily the positive surprise of this Leafs season, slightly past the 1/7th mark of the year. Once more, on how Cowan is taking the leap.
Here are 10 stats that stand out from the first 10 Leafs games of the 2026-27 season. theleafsnation.com/news/10-s…
from earlier today: with two points (and counting) against the Blue Jackets, Easton Cowan is pacing towards a 69-point campaign through an 84-game season.
while we're here my guy @hobson_alex16 wrote a terrific piece on Stecher this afternoon theleafsnation.com/news/how-…
