Sahal Arwo

Excited to share that I’ll now be contributing to the Portland Trail Blazers On SI! Thank you to everyone who has followed and read my work or supported my content in any capacity. It truly means a lot to me, both as a writer and as a person. Looking forward to covering this team all season! #RipCity

Toumani Camara gets the Wemby assignment to start the night. #RipCity

Going to be interesting to see how Micah Nori looks to neutralize( or at least try to) Wemby. Splitter threw a lot of different bodies but this is Nori’s first shot at it. #RipCity

Life as a Scoot Henderson believer has been difficult since he was drafted, but never as much as it has been this season. Scoot’s struggles continue and were a main takeaway from last night’s loss in L.A. #RipCity

As expected, Robert Williams III is OUT tonight for rest/injury management. Damian Lillard is AVAILABLE for his first back-to-back set since his Achilles injury. Very promising. #RipCity

No overreactions, but there were some notable red flags in the Blazers’ first road loss of the season. I discussed my three main takeaways and areas for improvement in a rare clutch-time game for Portland. And don’t worry, there isn’t a single sentence about *that* quarter. #RipCity si.com/nba/trailblazers/onsi…

In a game where an opposition player scores 53 points, it still feels like the Blazers beat themselves tonight. 24 turnovers. 17 offensive rebounds given up. 15 third quarter points. All of that given and Portland still found themselves with a chance to steal this game on the road. Gut punch. #RipCity

Portland couldn’t turn their third quarter defecit around and fall to the Lakers, 124-118. Deni Avdija: 22pts, 9reb, 11ast, 2stl Donovan Clingan: 17pts, 11reb, 1stl, 2blk Jrue Holiday: 12pts, 1reb, 7ast Damian Lillard: 22pts, 0reb, 4ast, 1stl Robert Williams III: 9pts, 5reb, 2stl, 2blk Toumani Camara: 18pts, 6reb, 1ast Sidy Cissoko: 7pts, 2reb, 3ast, 1blk C. Youngblood: 7pts, 2reb, 2ast Blazers road record drops to 5-1 and overall record to 6-2. Have a chance to right their wrongs tomorrow night against Wemby and the Spurs back at home. #RipCity

I feel like I just got a shout out.

In the sink or swim minutes of the fourth quarter, the Blazers go on a 10-0 run to bring the lead down to just six points.. Chris Youngblood has entered the game in the most pivotal stretch about to come. Portland trails L.A., 95-89. #RipCity

Luka Doncic is outscoring Portland 17-10 in the third quarter, and there's still 2:30 on the clock. #RipCity

Good timeout from Nori as the Blasers are just getting punished right now. We’re really gonna find out what type of team Portland really is in the next 16 minutes. #RipCity

Lakers outscore the Blazers 15-8 to open the second half but Crypto is making it sound way worse. Doncic has 9 of his total 29 points in the quarter and has clawed the Lakers to tie the game back up, 68-68. #RipCity

Scoot has been poor offensively again tonight, theres just no hiding that. But I have really enjoyed his defense tonight. #RipCity

Talk about a shot to change the momentum of this game… Blazers were up by as much as 16 but lead by seven after being outscored in the second quarter, 60-53 A solid Avdija half (12/8/5) while Lillard lead the players in scoring with 15. Youngblood slotted into the Krejci minutes for the main rotation change thus far. #RipCity

Early Yang Hansen minutes. Hold onto your hats ladies and gentlemen. #RipCity

Micah Nori goes with a really small lineup due to Clingan’s foul trouble. Camara at center and Cissoko at power forward. #RipCity

Robert Williams III is a player that you have such high expectations for and he still surpasses them. Resigning him was an A+++ this offseason. #RipCity
