.@AbbyKindberg, @Bush_lab @UCSF and colleagues find that EPH/EPHRIN signaling drives cellular organization by modulating cell contact strength by regulating actomyosin contractility at heterotypic contacts.

Are you ready for our next round of #MBLMarchMadness? We have two great match-ups for you today!
From the Deuterostome Division: It's Axolotl v. Sea Squirt and in the Ecdysozoan Division: Beach Hooper v Lobster!

We will talk about your tool in our lab and will probably contact you... does the oil droplet need to be fluorescent ? (no problemo)
We are releasing STRESS, an automated software to measure mechanical stresses in 3D multicellular systems using oil droplets or (some) gel microbeads. The software was developed by awesome postdoc Ben Gross and great graduate student @ElijahRShelton. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… 🧵

I love the idea of shared talks between scientists from different disciplines who work together for #interdisciplinary research. I hope it will show that I hardly know or understand any physics 😩 but that we have learned to discuss through a common language to bridge disciplines
📢 We are thrilled to announce the next talks of the @TLM_Cambridge online seminar series with our amazing speakers: @JgrosL, F.Corson, K. Alim, @maitrejl & @virtual_embryo! Talks are free and open to all ! Please RT & join the mailing list here to attend:

Very pleased to share my most recent work from the @BronnerLab now out (for early access) in @Dev_journal! Our modified #CRISPR vector allows concomitant delivery of Cas9, gRNAs, and a fluorescent protein in transfected cells.

Phallusia magic : the pigmented cell leaving the neural epithelium to go into the brain cavity is called the otolith. the other pigmented cell (in green too) is the ocellus.
My question : is the otolith undrgoing "cell slithering" ??
amazing !
Happy to see Mamoru's work is out in @eLife! doi.org/10.7554/eLife.61092. This is the first report on the ERK activation waves and multicellular flows in a growing epithelial tissue during mouse development. Many thanks to Profs Tateya and Matsuda @Phogemon for their warm support.

Ascidian embryos need cell adhesion to acquire their shape.
Phallusia embryo dividing in Ca2+ free sea water stained with cell mask (showing plasma membrane et internalised vesicles).
you will note that these internal particles segregate within each cell...

Excited, nervous, proud - a whole mess of emotions to post this paper to BioRxiv! What a crazy time to do science, but somehow things came together. Really proud of the team on this one! So thankful for guidance by @squishycell1 and funding by @HHMINEWS disq.us/t/3v6fjn5
