I guess when I engage in Fierce content in FFXIV, I will forever be reminded of the Fierce button in Street Fighter.
Turns out that if I ever retire from the FGC, there will always be things to remind you of where you came from.

How I felt after playing against an all-Gief team in last night's 4v4 Team Battle.
Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games episode 10 but just the complaints about Zangief the grappler in SF6. From a turtle Guile player.
#streetfighter #funny #anime
Also, GGs to @Guyguy2169 @ny_mando TheFatManatee and KUSKO!
Maybe I should learn how to play Gief some day.
For those who know me from the #FFXIV side of things, I develop and maintain the XIV Dye Tools project:
xivdyetools.app/
It's a web-app where you can explore harmonies, mix colors, and discover gradients of your favorite dyes.
I could have walked away from this project like how most vibe-coders post a project on GitHub but never never post another commit after advertisement.
But I chose not to. Why? I put too much love into this open-source project.
I will be the first to admit that I did use AI for coding it. If that changes your opinion, then I won't blame you. I totally understand. AI has produced a few good things; and AI produced a shit ton of sloppy things. And it's all the "slop" that gives AI a bad name. That and training off of stolen art (but that's a totally different conversation).
I personally, don't like using AI in art, but for building tools and things that could potentially improve my workflow, it's been a journey to what AI is capable of in coding.
This is especially true for reviewing code and security hardening. My take is that if you intend to share an app of any kind online, then security should be at the very top of that list to consider when building your app.
I know a lot of vibe-coders who build things but rarely touch it after v1. I suppose if you just build the app for yourself and your close buddies, then v1 might be sufficient enough.
But, I didn't stop at 1.0. I wanted this app to be as solid as possible, not just for my magazine's staff but for any FFXIV Glamour Fashionista.
XIV Dye Tools has been in development for about a year now and this project has over 2300 commits. Should new dyes ever be implemented in the future, then I'll be ready to update it.
With that said, if there are a few things brewing in my mind now.
Dalamud Plug-in
This is the one obvious thing that might be worth exploring. I'll have to sit down and see what might be the best way to implement this. With that said, XIV Dye Tools have separate libraries that other mod developers could try to take advantage of if they want to implement some of the features of this in their own mod.
Dye Tools for other games
Before I played FFXIV, I played Guild Wars 2 and I know for certain that game has a very extensive collection of dyes.
While I haven't played GW2 in over 10 years, if there is a demand, I might look into building an equivalent.
Did I say it's open source? Yeah, XIV Dye Tools is MIT Licensed: github.com/FlashGalatine/xiv…
Witness all the chaos behind the scenes.
Went 1-1 on the Single-Elim -- ran into an all-Gief team. Wild stuff!
I recruited a few Modern players for @FightRiseFGC's 4v4 SFL-style Team Battle today.
Could be interesting to see how this turns out.
We have:
* MR2000 Modern Ryu
* MR1800 Modern Ingrid
* MR1600 Modern Cammy
* MR???? Modern Viper (me)
Could be interesting to see how this goes.
Considering that I haven't played Ranked in ages, I feel like I'm going to get carried for most of the tournament. We'll see how this goes.
I'd be happy with just showing up in the Top 8 graphic.

Finally got caught up on the Phantom Weapons.
Just have to do the World Tour of Dawntrail and I can relax for a bit.
Fun fun!
It's been a month since I've been working for Amazon as a delivery driver. Most of my routes have been around my local area. While delivering, I have noticed a significant number of new subdivisions either recently built or in the process of being built.
And I'm thinking to myself: where around town are people making this kind of money to buy a house in this market? Especially considering how nice some of these houses look -- two story houses with a double-wide garage. The consistency of the houses makes me think the subdivision is run by an HOA, which also means additional HOA fees on top of the monthly mortgage payment.
For the past seven years, I've struggled to find a decent paying job around this town -- most of my income was doing things like DoorDash just to get by.
Prior to DoorDash, I worked at a Library making 14 bucks and some change per hour for ten years.
Maybe I missed the boat on something. Crypto and meme-stocks involved? Beats me.
I'll admit that reading threads on Reddit has been has been a guilty pleasure of mine.
It's almost like people go there to discuss the very subject matter they despise instead of trying to find productive ways to solve their problem.
Sure, you might find those who request for help or provide a brilliant resource of information, but I feel like it doesn't happen often.
Instead, you'll have moderators who have this very deranged view of their immediate circle and attempt to rule their communities like tyrants. A special kind of influencer, I suppose -- one that doesn't run a YouTube or TikTok channel full of short-form content.
I should stop reading Reddit. The stuff that happens there can get very weird and borderline dystopian.
So I've been gifted a Claude Max 20x ... and the math is rather wild if I'm looking at this right.
When I was on Max 5x, a maxed out session from a fresh reset usually amounts to about ~7% weekly usage.
If I max out a 5-hour session, that's ~25% weekly usage.
Interesting. 🤷
