Kalahandi’s Aparajita flowers are finding a new market. In Nagupala village, Kesinga block, 30 women farmers are taking up butterfly pea cultivation with support from OLM and the district administration. • Fresh flowers: ₹600–700/kg • Dried flowers: ₹1,200–1,300/kg • Solar dryer: ₹47,000 • Up to 3 harvests a year • Market links through ORMAS, Kalahandi Crafts and Mission Shakti Bazaar With demand for herbal tea and natural food colours, this initiative could turn a local flower into a steady source of income for rural women in Odisha.

Missionary NGOs and India’s Development — Part 1 The CCBI Bioethics Forum was established in September 2021 by the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India. They are writing against mining, dams, industrialisation, and even the Greater Nicobar project, the same projects that will give India a strategic advantage. The project is close to the Strait of Malacca, so it can become an important transshipment stop for commercial ships and a logistics hub for the Indo-Pacific region, as most of the world’s trade passes through this route. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also called the unsinkable aircraft carrier of India. From a military point of view, we can choke the entire strait, if needed, and stop global trade to gain negotiating leverage in case of war, like Iran, a small non-nuclear nation, does in the Strait of Hormuz. Remember, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party oppose the same project. Is it a coincidence that Catholic pressure groups and the Congress party align on the same lines? I leave it to you to judge. Mines not only generate revenue but also provide raw materials for the production of aluminium, iron, and other metals used to build modern India. Dams help with flood management and provide water for agricultural activities after the rainy season. Without dams, many people would be affected, displaced, or die, and their entire savings and agricultural livelihoods would be wiped out due to severe floods. Why do these Catholic bishop groups oppose development projects in India? The answer is that Christian missionaries convert tribals and poor people by giving them money and providing education and medicine in the name of God and social services through missionary NGOs. But where do they get this huge amount of money? Foreign governments, such as those of the USA, Britain, and other European countries, provide money to missionary NGOs to carry out charity work in India. Modi’s government came to power in 2014, and the UK government stopped its aid from 2015 onwards. Now, they are using different foundations, and Western companies provide funds through corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives to these missionary NGOs. In return, the missionary NGOs fulfil the demands of foreign states and companies by protesting against strategic projects such as dams, infrastructure, industries, and the Greater Nicobar project in the name of tribal welfare, ecology, and ethics.

Why should tribals of Sundergarh face the displacement from their land because some PhD holders will get 24x7 electricity in Phulankhara? When you talk about Odisha vs other states, also remember same is applicable for Bhubaneswar vs mining areas.

Okay so let me clarify once and for all - I am not in favour of missionaries or conversions. I merely stated the circumstances under which some Tribal people of Odisha converted to Christianity and why it was justified from their point of view - what made them convert to Christianity. I didn't mean conversion was right. Nowhere am I stating it. I talked about their plight and what MADE them convert. My posts were for the rights of the Tribal people of Odisha who have always been exploited because of the mines that lie underneath their land. How the districts which have most mines are the least developed. They have no say to decide who should do what in their homeland. How is it justified? How is it democratic? I also stated the doc who is trying to help the tribals, shouldn't be called a rice bag, just because of his religion. I also said that Tribals weren't originally idol worshipping Hindus like me. And I stand by it. People stated about the Sabar tribe that worships Lord Jagannath. I accept that argument. But that is an exception, and there may be few others but that does not make it the rule. Before worshipping our Lord, the Sabars worshipped nature, that is the reality. They were the chosen ones by our Lord. I have always talked about Odisha, the people of my land and its culture and will continue to do so. But the level to which these right wing accounts can fall attacking me personally with such vile, disgusting comments! I was surprised! How do you guys sleep at night seriously? I can't even imagine. So shameful this is! But I don't think those nameless, faceless accounts have any of it left! #Odisha

That VK Pandian fan club is now speculating about why Dharmendra Pradhan wasn’t at yesterday’s programme. This bigot thinks the Central Government runs like Pandian’s setup under Naveen Babu, where one unelected man was projected as the messiah and wielded enormous power. Yesterday’s programme in Bhubaneswar was an official government event attended by the PM, FM, CM, Governor and Bhubaneswar MP. There’s a standard protocol for such events. Not everything revolves around one individual. Stop projecting your Tamil master’s style of functioning onto the Centre.

Congratulations, Shri Mallikarjun @kharge Ji, by stating “Modi ka baap'.....” and dragging the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s late father into an election rally, you have certified your party's absolute intellectual bankruptcy. What an inspiring masterclass in opposition leadership. when you have no developmental vision to present, no governance track record to defend, and zero ground beneath your feet, simply default to personal abuse. It must be exhausting to spend decades trying to counter @narendramodi Ji on infrastructure, economics, or public trust, only to realize your sharpest remaining political weapon belongs in the gutter. For a 138-year-old party that incessantly lectures the nation on constitutional morality and democratic decency, the mask slips with remarkable predictability the moment an election looms. Targeting a leader’s lineage doesn’t elevate your stature, Kharge Ji! it only exposes unvarnished desperation. If street-level slurs actually translated into mandates, Congress wouldn’t be busy celebrating moral victories while consistently surrendering actual states. When an opposition has nothing left to offer 21st-century India, personal vitriol evidently becomes its only manifesto. The people will remember the absolute moral collapse of a once-national party.

There is an African proverb: “When the missionaries came to Africa, they had the Bible and we had the land. They said, ‘Let us pray.’ We closed our eyes. When we opened them, we had the Bible and they had the land.”

Knowingly circulating an old 2024 video and falsely presenting it as related to PM Modi’s visit to Odisha today is blatant misinformation. All for engagement farming and X payouts. 🤡
Prime Minister is visiting Odisha today. This will be his 9th visit to the state since the BJP came to power in Odisha. All this for adani
