Amazon Web Services (AWS) continues to experience intermittent issues affecting multiple apps and online services across the industry.
As a result, some Uphold customers may experience delays when processing transactions or receiving SMS login codes.
This issue originates outside of Uphold. Core Uphold systems remain fully operational, and all customer funds and account information are completely secure.
Our team continues to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as AWS restores normal service.

The latest guidance from Amazon Web Services (AWS) indicates that services are once again improving.
AWS currently estimates that full service will be restored within approximately two hours.
We’ll continue to monitor progress and share further updates as more information becomes available.
A service disruption with Amazon Web Services is causing widespread internet disruptions, impacting multiple apps and services across the industry.
As a result, SMS login codes may be delayed or temporarily unavailable.

We’re very sorry that some of our customers experienced delays in trading on Friday evening. Friday saw the largest liquidation event in crypto history with $19Bn liquidated in a few hours and it affected the entire market. Virtually all major exchanges suffered severe interruptions to service. While the Uphold platform did not go down and trading continued on many assets throughout the sell off, others were severely affected for around 11 minutes with intermittent disruption for about an hour. We appreciate how massively frustrating it is to experience delays at such a sensitive time. We sincerely apologize to those customers affected and ask for your understanding that the exceptional market conditions caused disruption across the industry. We are conducting a post-mortem and will identify areas for improvement.
