Old & broken ceramic items & tiles were used to decorate seating areas. Apart from this, a cloth bag vending machine was also installed at Guntur station for passengers.

The machine generates cloth bags at Rs 10 only & is intended to eliminate the use of single use plastic bags at stations. Congratulations to Smt Sudeshna and wishing her all the best for future endeavours !

A proud moment for the IRAS fraternity! Shri Shreyas Hosur, IRAS 2011,has made history by becoming the first Indian Civil Servant, the 1st from Railways, & only the 12th Indian ever to complete the legendary Manhattan 20 Bridges Swim (48.5 km around Manhattan Island, New York).
