Inferno
Showcasing the B&C telescope situated at Mount John Observatory, a 61cm RC usually operated at F6.25. It's a student favourite because it takes the best photos off all the telescopes at the observatory, while also being the easiest to use.
Last week NZ had an absolutely amazing aurora, check out my timelapse and single shot from that night!
Some interesting crops. This is a 5 hour exposure, 4 panel image taken with an astromodded Z6 / Samyang 135 and star Adventurer from bortle 2
After a night of shooting and 3 months of processing, I can finally call my favorite shot to date complete.
Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do :)

Yeah, the Carina nebula image is just inside the milkyway. But for example this image shows lots of milkyways very very far away colliding (will take billions of years to actually settle though).

The milkyway is the band of light that passes through our sky, and in it are lots and lots of nebulae. The main red one you see is the nebula that JWST photographed a tiny portion of.

Finally finished this one, little bit of a labour of love, took 9 months to finish!

Cheers. Having photographed the Carina nebula so much I instantly recognised it. Here is the first (true colour) image in the sequence, which didn't get much screen time, but shows the region best.
Did this for my Instagram, figured I'd post it here :)

🌟Starlit Akaroa 🌟
An awesome view of the Milkyway rising over the small town of Akaroa here in the South Island of New Zealand.
I'm incredibly proud of this image, and it's 100% my favourite landscape shot to date :D
