Any time turnstile does anything I can count on there being a guy who’s really mad for some reason, who probably didn’t hear pressure to succeed or step to rhythm until like 2022 (and who almost certainly has never heard TUI), like I can count on the sun rising tomorrow 🥱

Turnstile is fuckin wack. Astroturfed rage against the machine mini movement repeat program give your money to the small bands. No rep.

Being a stable and functional adult is awesome until your body forces you awake at 6am on the weekend no matter how late you were up the night before 🫩🫩🫩

Which is cool and awesome and dope, please be sober and resist the urge and temptation to partake in mind numbing substance, but hc/punk and straight edge aren’t separable; don’t try to shoehorn yourself into being something you’re not!!!!!

Introducing PLAN X RECORDS, a new home for straight edge hardcore music. PX001 releases tonight at Midnight, on Edge Day, from a brand new band called ALIVE. I have been straight edge since I was 14 years old, and I’ve never thought twice, looked back, OR thought myself above or better than anyone. But what I do know is that in a world that teaches us to numb ourselves, straight edge taught me how to feel. In a culture that profits from our continuous destruction, it can be the ultimate weapon… Against apathy, against excess, and most importantly, against the slow surrender of the self. I have never understood the notion that we must poison our minds to escape our reality, we need only the strength to change it. There’s always a better way. xderisionx.bandcamp.com/albu…
