Kairos was the right moment, the one that comes only once and asks you to recognize it. In the statue Lysippos made of Kairos, he had a long lock of hair falling over his forehead and the back of his head completely shaved. You could catch him only while he was coming toward you; once he had passed, there was nothing left to hold on to. The Latin word "occasio" comes from "ob cadere", to fall in front of someone.
