The real reason Trump and Israel are powerless to open the Strait of Hormuz or interrupt Iranian missile barrages on Israel and the Gulf: The Missile Shower System (Persian: سامانه تیربار موشکی). These are underground, portal-launch based rail systems, something straight out of Red Alert 2. Buried 700 meters below each of the missile cities beneath hardened granite of the Zagros mountain range, Iran has missile silos that operate completely self-sufficiently, with self-generating power stations embedded inside, fail-safe ventilation, and stocked with 5 figures of ballistic missiles, including ASBM (anti-ship) variants. Deep inside these bases, there's multiple-rail lines each loaded with clips of ballistic missiles which are then carted to launch silos, of which there are dozens. Whenever an enemy strike interrupts activity at one silo, the carts are re-routed automatically to available silos, while the IRGC waits for airspace to clear prior to excavating the blocked silos. All of the missile bases have backdraft exits which means that even thermobaric strikes would not be able to suffocate the personnel inside, even if they somehow managed to penetrate that deep into the solid granite geology. Satellite images show that Trump and Israel struck the Yazd Mountain missile base several times on March 13, 17, and 20, but to no avail, as not only are these bases are impenetrable with the most powerful conventional bunker busters (GBU-57 MOP), they are likely immune to even strategic nuclear strikes due to the nature of solid layered granite as an extremely strong rock. These portal-based rail launcher systems also insure the guaranteed second-strike abilities of Iran in the event of strategic nuclear attack -- suppressing them is impossible without direct infantry assault, and even that would prove to be extremely difficult and costly. Given this, the only option to cease activity at these bases would be counter-value blackmail (such as Trump's 48h ultimatum before he destroys Iran's infrastructure) or a full-scale invasion with commando raids on these facilities. The first option poses a serious threat to global markets, as well as Israel and the Gulf itself. There are at least 5 of these Missile Shower System bases in operation, and each single one is independently capable of blocking the Straits of Hormuz without any external support -- via the launch of ASBMs, let alone other capabilities.
