The NSPM7 Defendants Union just formed. As overtly political prosecutions become shockingly common, this is an important development. Any protester is a potential defendant, so everyone needs a union.
MS NOW covering the DOJ's targeting of Atlanta activist Sam Tunick. Sam is facing years in federal prison for protecting his phone data against an unconstitutional Border Patrol search at the airport.

If you're not already following the prosecution of Sam Tunick, now's the time to start. The outcome will have implications for phone security, the right to protest and government surveillance powers. You can learn more about the case and how to support at linktr.ee/LetSamGo
Today the Cobb County 3 charges were thrown out. The prosecution strategically manipulated the court system to violate due process rights. We have always known that Cop City prosecutions are a weaponization of the legal system. Another judge is now on record agreeing.

Using baseless criminal indictments as an electoral publicity stunt is not only harmful to democracy and due process, it won't even work. These charges, like Carr's past political prosecutions, will fail because they are based on fantasy, not facts.
Did the police arrest or attack you to enforce the mandatory curfew during George Floyd protests in 2020? Did you witness police abuse people during those protests? Fill out this survey to assist an ongoing lawsuit against the City:

Two Cop City defendants who were recently indicted a second time by the GA AG have filed a demand for speedy trial. Prosecutors must either hold a trial or drop the charges. Previously, the AG used delays strategically to draw out the RICO case for years. weelauneethefree.org/stop-co…
Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has indicted three Cop City protesters on questionable charges based on allegations from 4 years ago. Why now? Carr is seeking redemption with far-right voters after his failed years-long campaign to get RICO convictions of Cop City activists.

Read this statement from Jack Mazurek, a Cop City protester defendant whose case recently concluded with a non-cooperating plea and no jail time. freejack.co/2026/03/03/584/
Read this article by @defendmovements about how the failing Stop Cop City RICO prosecution is still an effective repression strategy. We will see more of this. indefenseofmovements.substac…
Bail is expensive! Lawyers are expensive! Helping victims of repression takes resources. When everyone gives a little, it means a lot to those who suffer abuse by the authorities. Set up a donation today, get a hoodie to show you're on the freedom side. atlsolidarity.org/hoodies
If 2025 was any indication, 2026 will be an intense year for political repression. Please donate to help us continue keeping activists safe and out of jail. Plus, you can get one of these hoodies for being a contributor!

We are looking in to this case. The more we learn, the clearer it becomes that the DOJ is trying to criminalize the use of privacy-protecting phones.

We designed these hoodies in 2020 and are bringing them back to thank those who have become contributors in 2025.
The only way to get one is to be a recurring donor to the Atlanta Solidarity Fund. To get yours, set up a donation of at least $20/mo ❤️✊❤️
We have learned that an Atlanta-based activist was arrested by DHS and FBI yesterday around 6pm. Community leaders say this arrest is an attack on dissent, and call for his release. Charges are unknown. We stand ready to support all targets of political repression.
The Cop City RICO is in crisis. Judge Farmer plans to throw out the bulk of the case on the reasoning that the Georgia Attorney General's office was not invited by the Fulton DA (Fani Willis) to bring the case, so it lacks constitutional authority to prosecute.
This is not the end of the RICO case, but it's a reminder that the State's campaign of repression is destined to fail. What happens next will decide whether the AG simply returns to the drawing board for the next round of attacks, or is finally held accountable for their abuses.
Regardless we will continue our work supporting and defending those who are targeted for political prosecution. Please contribute at atlsolidarity.org to help us keep going, and stand up for protesters wherever you see them attacked!
