The birds are migrating and I just had an entire flock of European starlings landed the yard for a snack before flying off, hundreds of them. The dog was in heaven watching out the window.
It's not just the ignorance of her words, it's her demeanor while she says them. This is so hard for me to watch, even this short clip. She's a truly reprehensible person, in every way, but most of all her comportment. Good. Grief.

there are multiple moments in this movie - and that final fight in particular - where the artistry on display is so aesthetically overwhelming that i was instantly out of breath and moved to tears. an astonishing, once-in-a-lifetime achievement of filmmaking and storytelling that made me feel like i was falling in love with fantasy for the first time all over again.

Off to see Wildwood with the kiddo at Spotlight in Warsaw. Love that little ma and pa theater and I love The Decemberists, I'm so happy his book was made into a real deal stop motion movie. He deserves it. It's also getting CRAZY reviews, can't wait.
it was fuckin' exceptional @MollieTyson . The guy from decemberists wrote the book, it's possibly the best children's movie I've ever seen. they also figured out how to show the impact of violence, the camera doesn't cut away at impact but it's still a kids movie. Amazing stuff
