Something that I've learned through the years that I'm most appreciative of is that it is best to unapologetically and deeply love the things that make you happy, regardless of what anyone else thinks about it. If you're happy and nobody's getting hurt, no other opinions matter.
Person next to me on this flight is using Claude Code. Do I evangelize @AmpCode to them?
If I wanted to play around with Kimi K3.1 on @AmpCode what's the best way to do that?
The mental gymnastics required to say "if you ignore these obviously broken characters, this game is balanced" is killing me.
I wouldn't trust the balance opinions of any top player from this generation, honestly. I've seen some truly braindead takes from most of them.

Why is NASB 2 a more balanced game than brawlhalla? Why is smash ultimate with 80+ unique characters a more balanced game (yes the meta is top heavy because of steve and sonic but its still a balanced game)? Brawlhalla has no real gameplay vision they just balnce to balance.
This is more or less our interview process.
i feel like swe interviews could probably collapse into just 2 technical rounds:
• system design (how well can you articulate your ideas, do you actually know how to engineer something)
• onsite project to build a real thing with agents (can you translate your intent into high quality outcomes)
everything else we used to ask is no longer necessary
Watching the whole ass AI bubble in real-time not understand what good natured trash talk between two rivals looks like is radicalizing me to hate stupid people more than I already do.
Okay, I'm converted. @AmpCode has completely nailed the DX of remote agent runners. Whatever you believe might be better, I've probably tried it and you're wrong.
I have been putting off really giving Amp a go because I knew it was likely something I would get addicted to and would be depressed if I couldn't use it all the time.
After just 2 solid days, I'm not going back. This is what has been missing from my workflow. It's literally magic. I haven't had a flow state this strong in a good bit. I forgot to eat today until just a bit ago because I was too busy shipping.
It's Orbin' Time.
Fighting to maintain authenticity feels like drowning in an ocean of bullshit these days.
I will remain a fan of whatever ecosystem makes my team the most productive. And for right now that is still @laravel.

I don’t think frameworks will have “fan bases” anymore, certainly nothing like it used to be. I think that whole thing is dead.
The worst thing about loving video games is having to read other people's stupid-ass fucking takes about video games. People can be so insufferable.
You not liking something doesn't mean that it's bad. I do not and will not ever play any 4X games because I do not find them fun. I do not go around raging against 4X players because they're having fun.
Just shut the fuck up if you don't have anything constructive to say. Holy shit.
Gotta admit, I've used AI almost exclusively for coding and research that doesn't require computer-use. I had Codex book plane tickets for me today cause I just could not be assed to do the research myself and that was the best experience I've ever had buying plane tickets.
This DLSS5 shit is so embarrassingly bad and finally proves definitively that constantly chasing after visual fidelity in video games is the wrong direction. The people praising this fucking garbage should never be allowed to submit an opinion on how a game looks ever again.
Last year, I decided to try a foldable. This year, I swapped back to a standard Pixel 11 Pro.
These days I'm actually trying to do *less* on my phone and I did not use the inner screen enough to justify its existence.
Helped that the trade-in made this year's phone almost free.

As a d-pad player, I wish I could like this tweet a billion times. I hate having to pay an absurd amount of money just to have a controller with both a form factor that isn't absolute hand-cramp-inducing garbage and a PASSABLE d-pad.
Multiversus got us so, so close to being free from the shackles of Melee in the platform fighter space and failed, possibly ruining the genre forever, because suits at WB don't understand anything about the economics of video games.
I need @riotgames to stop working on anything other than League. You guys are incapable of not fucking up anything else you touch and then doing collateral damage to the genres you try to be apart of.
If you're not going to commit, get the fuck out. We do not want you here.
Dude in my Taco Bell drive-thru tonight recognized Brawlhalla and knew who I was. So, I went home and brought him back a Metadev for his main.
Just a reminder that Brawlhalla is a fun game a ton of people play and just enjoy it.
(Also I'm really bad at selfies, lol.)
The reality is nobody cared enough about DX before anyway or the JavaScript ecosystem wouldn't exist.
Regular reminder that it's not in Brawlhalla's interests to just ban people for "no reason". I can guarantee you there's a lot of people the dev team does not like but gets to stick around because they haven't actually done anything ban-worthy.
You not knowing the reason doesn't mean there was no reason. Everyone still to this day brings up Cake but there are some of us that have a very good idea of why he's banned and I can assure you that it is for a good reason. And very permanent.
BMG has never banned people for no reason. I'm not going to pretend that a mistake hasn't happened once or twice, but I am certain the burden of proof they require before a ban is way higher than you think it is.
