Everyone is all in on running backs this year in fantasy football and that's driving their cost up in Auction drafts. Does that mean it's the time to fade them? At sleeper prices I'm able to get four WRs that were in the top ten in yards per route run last year with big roles projected for this year. Would you roll with this lineup?

I don't put a ton of emphasis on fantasy football Auction draft nomination strategy... but I do think I will nominate De'Zhaun Stripling first. His current AAV is so low. I just don't want anybody to end up with him for $1!
With all these preseason injuries, I'm glad that I switched from snake drafts to auctions. So much more room to maneuver.
Over the past two and a half years I have built and tested AuctionDraftPro, a lineup builder / optimizer for fantasy football auction drafts. I've created more lineups than I can count, covering a ton of scenarios. I've learned a lot through this experience and here are my top auction draft tips:
Tip 4 - Understand how to react to the league's bidding style.
In one of my first auction drafts I was determined not to overpay. Every top player went above AAV, I passed on all of them, and I ended up with a roster of mid tier players and a deep bench. That season went exactly how you would expect. In an aggressive room, still get one of the top guys. Pick your spot, pay up once or twice, then stop. If the room is overpaying early there will be discounts later. In a conservative room, do the opposite. Load up on stars, because there the mid and low tier players are the ones going at a premium. You may end up starting someone you would rather have on your bench, and that is fine. Stars carry teams.
If you want to run those practice lineups without hassle, AuctionDraftPro is free all season. Set your budget, scoring, and roster, choose whether your league prices off Sleeper, Yahoo, or ESPN, and it builds the highest projecting lineup those dollars can buy.
Include/exclude players, customize whatever you want, and use the draft assistant to see walk-away prices, while it maintains your budget for you and offers dynamic repricing.
I hope it helps you!
I love building auction lineups around players that experts are suggesting. I may have hit the jackpot using some targets from @SalVetriDFS. His targets, Mike Evans, Bhayshul Tuten, Emeka Egbuka, and Breece Hall, are incredible values in auction drafts, especially on the Yahoo platform. So much so that if you target these guys, you can also fit Bijan Robinson, Lamar Jackson, Trey McBride, and Rashee Rice in the same lineup. 🤯

With Tucker Kraft just cleared for team drills he is going at a steep discount in auction drafts, opening some interesting possibilities. Would you roll with this lineup?

I was loving this Auction Draft lineup, but then I realized I spent 5 on Jayden Daniels 😬

I love Jahmyr Gibbs, but he is so expensive on @SleeperHQ with an $81 AAV. Can you still build a strong lineup if you pay up?
Here are 5 lineup builds you could realistically get if you pay the price…
