Today one of KY’s Finest, Trooper Hayden Phillips, made the ultimate sacrifice. Behind the badge was a man with a family, brothers & sisters in gray, & a grateful Commonwealth. Detectives from the AG’s Office were on the scene & will continue to support our KSP colleagues.

The primary White House TV pool is made up of 5 networks: CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, and FOX. We take turns covering POTUS for pooled events and trips, and then share footage with the other 4 plus other outlets.
Today there is no tv pool, so Trump won’t have a crew with him at UNGA.

Mark was always a friendly face whenever I’d see him at the Capitol and a great reporter. Praying for his family, friends, and colleagues. 🙏
Today we lost a fine Kentuckian who cared deeply about telling its stories and educating about its civic life. @WLKY’s Mark Vanderhoff understood journalism was about people and he treated those people with fairness and compassion. My prayers are with his family & colleagues.

On this day 25 years ago, a bright September morning gave way to one of America’s darkest days. Today we remember the lives lost, the lives forever changed, & the bravery of our first responders. God bless this great nation and comfort those affected by this unthinkable tragedy.
