Autistic Bunrout can affect speech, everyday tasks and how much sensory input you can tolerate, alongside PROFOUND exhaustion. Calling all of that “being tired” totally misses the point of why someone can desperately WANT to do something and still be UNABLE to DO it.

there is a lot of talk about autistic self-advocacy and it's crucial without a doubt. and having allies is hugely important as well. not to speak over us, not to dictate to us - but to support us it pains me to see this narrative of us vs them taking over the discourse

I guess now is a good time to promote my book: Manly While Stimming: Autism and the Myth of the Masculine Ideal, which dives into how RFK Jr. and Elon Musk represent two signs of the coin when it comes to talking about #ActuallyAutistic people as subhuman. In stores March 30.
Gasps in the crowd as RFK jr reveals he’s just seen data that puts the autism rate near 20% @TMZ
